She refuses to open up. Can Lana finally open up to the man she loves or will her fast finally take the one person she loves away?

Why The Genre Change?

Yesterday saw the release of Hope (2225), a brand new series based in the future. Most of my stories have been set in the present and with fictional towns where I control what goes on. However, as an author I’ve been growing a little restless and wanted to have a complete change.

Looking through my notebooks I discovered the notes I’d made about this story and new in my heart I needed to write it. There are elements within the story that I love, like the dominant male but the circumstances around their story is completely different. I never thought I was a big futuristic, dystopia fan but when I look back at the movies (through research) I’ve watched, I love it. Hunger Games, The Fifth Element, The Matrix, Mad Max are to mention a few of the movies around.

So, why have I decided to have a change? Purely and simply, it was what I needed to write at the time. This does not mean that my contemporary, erotic romance stories are going to stop. In fact, I feel the need to write all different styles of stories. The writer inside me hates being confined to one box and this was the first step out of my comfort zone. I like to test myself as a reader and as a writer. Hope was a massive test for me and, fingers crossed, I hope it is well received.

I don’t know if you’ll like Hope but it was what I had to do at the time of writing it and I’m thankful to my editor at Evernight for working with me during this new direction I’ve taken.

I want to say a thank you to you lovely readers for your continued support with my writing. I adore all of you.

Coming up next:

Trapped Between Two Alphas (April 25th)

Desire (May 13th)

I’ll keep posting regular updates as they become available. Have a wonderful Thursday.

Sam 🙂

It’s Monday Again

I can’t believe how quickly time flies by. There is always so much to do with regards to writing. At one time I thought all a writer had to do was write the story and that was it. However, not only do we write the stories but we have to get our stories through editing and give the cover artists the right ideas for what we want on the front cover. It is always so buy and then the promotional side. Put it this way, there is a lot more work to publishing a story. I could talk about writing all day long but it is Monday and so more work needs to be done.

Anyway, I wanted to start by giving plenty of updates throughout the week. I’ve been asked plenty of questions about what stories I’m writing and if I’m completing other series and so on. I’m going to try and keep everything updated from now on.  🙂

What I’m doing now.

I’m currently writing the second book in, The Owners series. This story is writing itself and I’m hoping to have it submitted by the end of the month with the hope of it being accepted and getting released before the end of the year. After this story I have plenty more series to be getting on with.

Below is a list of some of the books I’ll be working on,

Imperfection  2 (Evernight)

Cape Falls 4 (Evernight)

The Sinclair Men 3 (Evernight)

Long Mead 3 (Siren)

Rock Wood Pack 2 (Siren)

and I will also be doing a three Christmas books for the Unlikely Love series (Evernight).

The moment I know which book I’m starting next, I’ll blog about it and please remember your questions are always welcome.

Tessa Wanton

The alluring talents of Tessa Wanton, making her writing ebut with “THE TRAINING OF TESS” A sensual, erotic foray into the world of BDSM.
Tess had always been fascinated with the Dominant submissive lifestyle, and she was – she felt, a very submissive person.  In her real life people knew her as a feisty, headstrong and passionate woman; no one would ever have described her as submissive.  But then she had learned over time that being submissive didn’t mean she had to be a doormat, it meant to her that she wanted to hand over her control, her welfare, her safety, to someone else.  Throughout her life she had maintained an iron grip on her personal control, organized to the extreme in her work and home life, highly respected in her profession as a Personal Assistant, so used to controlling others to ensure success.   But what she truly wanted deep down inside, was a man who could take her to that special place of freedom she had heard and read so much about, to experience true freedom within her mind.
She had signed up to a lifestyle website to learn more about what it was to attain this   ‘sub-space’ she had heard about.  Peppering her profile with photographs she felt were ‘artistic’, and writing a personal passage about who she was had attracted plenty of admirers, but no one she had particularly connected with.  She wasn’t looking to find a soul mate, or even a playmate, just someone to discuss her thoughts and passions and desires with.   It was out of the blue that a message had dropped into her inbox.
This intriguingly daring and fiery novella describes three encounters experienced by a young woman, who, whilst fascinated by BDSM throughout her life, had not had the courage or opportunity to experiment in the scene, until now…
THE TRAINING OF TESS is due for release September 30th 2011 in e-book format

Guest: Raine Delight

Hello and welcome Raine Delight to my site. She has so graciously agreed to be interviewed.
So lets begin…
1) First, tell us a little about yourself so the readers know who you are?
Raine answers: Thanks Sam for letting me come by today. I appreciate it. I love talking at new places. J Ok here is my official bio for you….
Raine Delight loves to be pampered by her harem of men that exist solely for her pleasure. Wait…..that was in a movie she saw. Hey, she can dream. 🙂 Raine loves to fight with her muse, attack her manuscripts and find a way to silence the many voices in her head. Inspiration hits at odd times and for Raine, a blank word document page gives her many possibilities on story ideas.  Living with her two kids, a significant other who supports her every move in writing and doesn’t seem to mind she gets up at 2 am to type away on the computer. With a love for Johnny Depp, movies and 80’s hair bands, Raine finds a way to bring all her chaotic thoughts into a story that tells her readers about love and romance. SC: Nice to know more about you.
2) What made you decide to write? Was it something you accidentally began? Or what you wanted to do? Or annoying character who refused to leave until their story was told?
Raine answers: I always loved to read. Maybe because from age 13-20 I was in and out of the hospital for Cervical Spine Cancer treatments and books got me through those dark times, or it could be I just enjoyed escaping into times gone by, etc. *shrugs* It was a natural thing a few years ago to see if I could write my own story. Especially as I was reading so many TSTL (too stupid to live) characters in a variety of books. Once I opened that door…oh man, my muse, a male nut who loves to torment me, came out, introduced himself and proceeded to give me so many story ideas I had no clue what to do first. *laughs*
SC: I adore books and wouldn’t be able to live without my constantly growing collection.
3) I love hearing about first acceptances as an aspiring writer and now that I am e-published, I still love hearing about them. So tell us about that first acceptance.
Raine answers: Oh man, I wrote Sticky Magic in under a week and after letting a friend read it through, I sent it out to a few places. Within 48 hours it was accepted. You couldn’t believe how excited I was then I found out the real work behind an author’s release. Lots of marketing, making sure readers get excited by your book and everything. Plus I had this mischievous muse whispering in my ear on more story ideas. *laughs*
SC: So many people would envy you. It took me over three years.
4) Tell us about your current release? Where can readers buy it from?
Raine answers: Oh man *laughs* I have releases from August to December at Secret Cravings Publishing.
August saw the first book in my paranormal contemporary series, Devon Falls, come out. Sticky Magic introduces the readers to this little town where fate finds themost unlikely of people to fall in love.
September was all about Red Hot Magic, a bachelor/dog auction, a dream walker and a woman finding out that the dream man she has fallen in love with is real after all.
October is the first book of my twins in Devon Falls. Fiery Magic is a story of former lovers finding the strength to give love a second try amid secrets both have.
November is the second twin story and it’s about a w olf shifter finding that the one woman meant to be his is the one who drives him completely insane. *grins* One of my favourites to write.
December is a brand new, never before published Devon Falls story. Moonlight and Magic delivers a story of a Halloween masked ball, a cynical woman and a white tiger shifter finding out that love is where the heart is.
Then in 2012, I have a stand alone title called Fantasies Unbound that has a magic spell, a fae prince and magical Faberge egg helping a BBW woman find the love she deserves and needs.
5) What are you currently writing?
Raine answers: Well I am all over the place lately, in between edits and whatnot. I am finishing up a sci-fi ménage (MMF) that is my ode to my love of Firefly TV Series and Captain Jack from Pirates of the Caribbean movies. Then there is a few MM Stories that are haunting me, two new paranormal series I am adding to and I am thinking of a historical/time travel/steampunk one as well. See my muse loves *insert sarcasm* to drive me nuts with all these diverse characters yelling at me. *sighs*
SC: I can’t stop writing, I’m addicted.
6) What inspires you most when you write?
Raine answers: Depends…one time I had a Josh Groban song inspire a particular scene in a story I am writing, another was a picture, and still another was a memory with a “What if…???” aspect to it. It all depends on the mood of my muse on what inspires me.
7) What experiences have you had working with your publisher/s?
Raine answers: Well I can attest I have good and bad publishers. I won’t go into it nor will I bad mouth any of them to anyone. *shrugs* For myself, I am particular on where I now submit to and learn from my past mistakes when choosing a publisher.
8) What are you reading now?
Raine answers: *blinks at Sam* Um…in print or ebook?
In print, I am reading When Memory Fails by DW Marchwell and Nora Roberts The Next Always (For review).
In e-book, I am reading Wolfman 4 by Brannan Black, and then I have Chasing the Dream Anthology, Volley Balls by Tara Lain and many more to enjoy.
I need a clone or two just so I can relax and read all my books I have waiting for me.
SC: Any type of book lol
9) What are your guilty pleasures?
Raine answers: Well dang Sam, that’s like asking me which book I love most or what kid is my favourite. *laughs*
Actually give me cheesecake from cheesecake factory and I am in heaven. Also love eating twizzler bites (red please) and Chocolate Rollo candy.
10) What would be your advice, if any, for other aspiring authors?
Raine answers: Write, write and then write some more. Talk to more established authors, take online workshops and hone your craft.
This is for you to talk more about yourself, leave your blogging details, site details and generally promote yourself.

Anyone who comments will be entered to win a $10 gift card to Starbucks. Please leave your email address so we can contact you in case you win the gift card.

Can a cynical woman find the man of her dreams in real life this Valentine’s Day?
Raven Demarco has sworn off men after one too many disastrous dates and soon begins dreaming of a mystery man who makes her feel things that she never expects to feel again. When the auction comes closer, her sensual dreams become more than she can handle and she finds herself wishing her dream man would show up and sweep her off her feet. What will she do when the man himself comes to claim her: Heart, body and soul?
Jean-Claude LeFever is a dream walker, has searched for years for his mate and finally found her in Raven. With his seduction of her in her dreams driving them wild, he makes sure to come to Devon Falls and make her his for all time as time is running out for him and their love. If she doesn’t fall in love with him by midnight, Jean-Claude is destined to walk the planes of dreams for the next hundred years before finding his love again. Can he be able to steal her heart and make her his for all time? Or will it be too late for them?

Sneak Peek Adult Excerpt:

Raven felt the soft breeze swirl and the silk sheets slither around her body like a lover’s hands. She opened her eyes and looked around. She wasn’t in her apartment, and she was naked. How the hell did that happen? Instead, she was in a dream; something was going to happen tonight, and she knew her life would change forever.
“You’re awake, I see. We have so many delicious things to do yet, my love,” a deep voice whispered. Raven shivered as desire raced through her body faster than she ever imagined.
“Who are you? What do you want of me?” Turning left, then right, she tried to figure out where the voice came from.
As the breeze swirled around the room, it caressed her body, making her nipples tighten and wetness pool in her core. Trying not to let her mystery man know how he much he affected her,
Raven tried to still her aching body with deep breaths. That is, until she spied the tall man walking toward her from the shadows.
With hair dark as midnight, a body that stormed her defenses with just a look, his blue eyes locked onto hers. He was easily six foot five and deliciously naked…with a cock begging to be suckled and licked. It was absolutely the largest one Raven had ever seen, and it grew larger with every step he took toward her. This man would give her the ultimate pleasure she had been searching for, and she would crave even more from him.
Gulping, she felt rather than saw him sit on the edge of the bed. As her gaze traveled up his body to his face, she caught laughter in his marvelous eyes as he watched her take stock of his body.
“Love, you don’t have to be afraid. You know who I am even if you don’t want to admit it. I’m your soul mate, and I’ve been searching for you for a long time. You need me as much as I need you, cheri. I am coming for you.”
Raven shivered as those words slammed into her with a force that almost had her coming onthe spot. Shifting, Raven asked again, “Who are you?”

Cool or what?
