Blurb

Eva Ford lives a sheltered life on her small rural farm. At twenty-two, she feels the need to spread her wings and start her own life, planning a trip to the city to show her prized cows. Colton and North McReed from the next ranch over are determined to make sure she stays out of trouble.

Twin brothers, Colton and North, have always loved little Eva. She’s their rock in life, the one pure thing in their otherwise dark existence. Their abusive father ran out on the family years ago and their mother suffers from a serious addiction. They never look at Eva with desire…until they spend a week alone with her in the city.

Everything changes when Eva and the cowboys realize just how deep their love for each other runs. Once their passion is unleashed, it’s impossible to contain. But can their unorthodox relationship last? Will sex ruin the friendship of a lifetime?

North was ready to brawl. In fact, he craved it like never before. Pain would be preferable to the ache in his heart. Somewhere along the line he began to see Eva as more than the sweet girl next door. Somewhere along the line he’d fallen in love.

What he didn’t understand was Colton’s sudden disinterest. Their feelings for Eva always mirrored each other’s. Half the time when he’d escape to the Ford house, Colton was already there. They’d come on the trip specifically to keep Eva out of trouble, but instead, his twin was turning a blind eye.

They ate dinner in silence. North watched the sky turn from blue to black, every darkening shade bringing his anxiety to a new level. She still wasn’t back. God knows what that cowboy was doing with little Eva. The thought of his filthy hands on her made his blood boil. He wasn’t sure how much longer he could sit still with his imagination running wild.

He was just about to bolt from his seat when the door to the trailer opened. Cool air flooded the interior and the sound of Eva clearing her throat made every live wire inside him suddenly lose power. He exhaled a nervous breath, glad she was at least home safely.

“Told you I’d be back in one piece,” she said as she hung up her cardigan. “There’s no need to go hunting me down. Seriously.”

She started to climb up into the loft.

“Where’s lover boy?” asked North, no humor in his tone.

“His name is Wade, and he just dropped me off, like a perfect gentleman.”

“That why he had his lips all over you?” asked Colton. His brother was just as unimpressed, even though he’d condoned the behavior.

“Hush you!” Eva slipped under the covers.

“You haven’t eaten,” said North.

“Wade bought me dinner.”

He ground his teeth together, stifling a growl. The sound of that man’s name on Eva’s lips made him see red. If he never heard the name again it would be too soon.

They secured the trailer and turned out the lights before joining Eva in the bed. He tossed his shirt and lay down on his back, staring up at the low ceiling. She was already comfortable, obviously not feeling the volatile energy keeping him awake. He kept as far to his side as possible, the cold wall of the trailer chilling his arm. Every time she shifted in the bed, he tensed.

“I’m cold,” she murmured, cuddling closer to him. The heat of her body scorched his bare skin. In a matter of days, everything changed for him. He wasn’t sure when it happened, but he wished he could go back to the way things were. Uncomplicated.

He tried to get away from her but he was trapped in the tight confines of the sleeping area. He held his breath as she ran her palm over his chest, over and over in small circles. Her touch had always been soothing—not so much anymore.

“What’s wrong with you?” she whispered against his neck. His eyes lolled back in his head. Even her fucking breath was sweet.

“Nothing. Go to sleep, Eva.”

“You’re acting weird, North. Is this because of Wade?”

He decided the cowboy was a safer topic than his changing feelings for her. “I don’t trust him.”

“Why not?”

“Just don’t is all.” He rolled to his side and away from her. It didn’t feel right going to sleep on a sour note, but he couldn’t have this discussion now. Mrs. Ford was the one to teach him and Colton not to speak out of passion. It was always best to confront a person with a level head, after cooling off and replaying the events over in your head. He usually didn’t take the advice, but tonight felt like a good time to start.

“Will you two quiet down,” said Colton.

Eva pressed her body against his back. Why had he taken off his shirt? He needed layers between them—many, many layers.

“I know what I’m doing,” she said in a whisper. “You don’t have to worry about me.”

“I’d worry less if you spent more time with Bessie and Ruby than that drifter.”

“He’s not a drifter.”

“Why you defending him?” he asked. “You act like you’re already an item.”

She kissed his shoulder. “I just want you to be happy for me, North.”

“It doesn’t matter what I think.”

“It does. You’re the one who taught me how to rope a calf, and even though it took me weeks to learn, you never got impatient. You protected me when Jameson’s dogs got loose.” She ran her hand delicately down his arm, her fingers lingering over the raised scars on his forearm. “You bought me a corsage when no boy asked me to prom. Remember when the three of us danced in the rain that night? My dress was covered in mud.”

“I remember.”

“Well those are just examples of why I love you so much. It doesn’t feel right doing anything without your blessing.”

He wasn’t sure he could ever give her what she wanted.

1) First, tell us a little about yourself so the readers know who you are?

I’m a married mother of five living in northern Canada. I write erotic romance for Siren and Evernight Publishing.

2) What made you decide to write? Was it something you accidentally began? Or what you wanted to do? Or annoying character who refused to leave until their story was told?

I’ve been writing since I was a pre-teen. It’s always been a creative and emotional outlet for me. It’s a dream come true to be doing what I love for a living.

3) I love hearing about first acceptances as an aspiring writer and now that I am e-published, I still love hearing about them. So tell us about that first acceptance.

My first acceptance was for Fearless Desires (Immortal Love) from Siren Publishing. It was a joyous day and the beginning of my writing career. My first book/series still holds a very special place in my heart. I hope to continue the third book as soon as I’m able.

4) Tell us about your current release? Where can readers buy it from?

My next releases are Threesome and Climax for Six. All my books are available at http://www.bookstrand.com/stacey-espino and www.evernightpublishing.com. You can also find them at Amazon and several other online book sellers. Many of my books are also in print.

5) What are you currently writing?

I actually have over half a dozen projects on the go. I wish I had a clone! I’m focusing on my Iron Spur Ranch series at the moment.

6) What inspires you most when you write?

I like damaged characters—they are real and complex. When I can become emotionally invested in them, I am able to put more passion into my writing.

7) What experiences have you had working with your publisher/s?

I am very happy writing for Siren and Evernight. My experiences are wonderful.

8) What are you reading now?

Since I’m getting caught up on my writing, I have nothing on my nightside table at the moment. My to-read pile is huge, and I still get a thrill when I look at all the books on my shelf I’ve yet to read.

9) What are your guilty pleasures?

Reading, writing, animals, Starbucks green tea lattes, chocolate, and vanilla-scented products.

10) What would be your advice, if any, for other aspiring authors?

Know your game plan and stick with it. Keep writing, improving your skills, and challenging yourself!

This is for you to talk more about yourself, leave your blogging details, site details and generally promote yourself.

Excerpt:

The other man turned and directed his attention to her. He looked hungry despite his stoic expression. She swallowed hard, not sure if she should back away or beg him to dominate her. Butterflies fluttered in her stomach as she waited for him to speak. “I’ve told Branson to stay away from you…for your own good.” He stepped closer. “You’re the kind of woman a man could lose his soul to.” His voice was a low octave, on the cusp of a whisper. “But since we both have eyes for you, there’s really only one solution.”

“A threesome,” she blurted like a student rushing to provide the correct answer. As soon as she spoke, every muscle in her body tensed. Time stood still as she replayed her answer over and over in her head, wishing she could turn back time and not make a fool of herself. But an idea had been planted in her consciousness, one infecting her like a virus. What would it be like to experience a real threesome, two cocks filling her body?

He seemed to be pondering her answer, as if it never occurred to him. Was he playing with her? After slipping off his dark suit jacket, he set it on the back of the sofa. He wouldn’t shift his gaze from her, like a predator sizing up its prey. He was sexy as hell, slowly licking his upper lip. Such perfect lips. She noticed the slight stubble along his jawline and dark shadow above his lip. In fact, her mind was working on overdrive, absorbing every detail from the beauty mark on his neck to the small white scar above his eyebrow. Everything turned her on.

“Have you ever taken two men, Eve?”

Oh shit. The mere idea of a threesome terrified her at first thought. It wasn’t the norm, was something society would frown upon. If her mother could see her now… Eve didn’t even want to think about it. She was on her own in the world, an adult, free to make her own choices. Did she want to go through with this? After reaching her sexual peak, she’d been ready to do just about anything for some basic satisfaction. These men offered her a trip to heaven and back with no cost, no obligation.

“No!” she snapped, feigned being insulted. “I mean, no. That’s crazy talk. Who do you think I am?” She was stammering and knew it. Eve blamed her nerves. “What kind of woman jumps into bed with two brothers?” Saying it aloud made her pussy moisten. Brothers.

“So you want to leave?” asked Branson.

“I–I didn’t say that.” She wanted to scream for them to get on with it, to help her see the stars, but she didn’t want to appear overly eager. Growing up, she’d been drilled to keep a good reputation, to never appear slutty. But this was what she wanted, and it was her decision to make. Whether it was the right or wrong one, she’d deal with the consequences later.

“Feisty.” The dark-haired Adonis paced around her, sizing her up. He undid his golden cufflinks, slowly, and set them on the side table with care. “Maybe this wasn’t such a bad idea of yours, Branson.”

Book Review: Cowboy Outcasts by Stacey Espino

I love Stacey Espino’s work and I have to say Cowboy Outcasts is one of her best.

Here is the Blurb:

Callum O’Shea has segregated himself from a world that rejected him since childhood. His older brother, Arden, protected him from life…but even he can only take so much of the isolation.

When a young university student offers to help with Callum’s hog problem in exchange for room and board, he’s not in a financial position to refuse. He’s surprised when she doesn’t judge him for his Tourette’s Syndrome. But he’s learned that good things rarely last.

Hailey Watson tried to prove her parents wrong by being the best scientist she could be. When her research funding is cut off, her world spirals out of control. With the help of Callum and Arden, the reclusive Irish cowboys, she learns there is more to life than success at her job. But are the two hardcore cowboys capable of real love?

Review:

I have never read a book which deals with Tourette’s Syndrome and the moment I read the blurb I knew I had to read this to see. I fell in love with Callum O’Shea the moment I read him on the page. He has been dealing with Tourette’s all of his life and the town where he lives treats him as some kind of retard and even call him that name. I found the moments when he was in town to be so emotional. I felt so annoyed at the stubbornness of the people to treat someone the way they treated Callum. I felt so connected to him as a character and I applaud Stacey Espino for her wonderful writing in making it happen.

Hailey made everything better. She understood what was happening with Callum but she never even mentioned it to him. She looked beyond the Tourette’s and saw the man inside. Then, and give me a second to fan myself, Arden came into play. I would love to be able to see this man. The way he is described makes your heart beat faster. He’s protective of his brother but trying to find his way and lose himself at the same time.

The chemistry between all three was amazing and I couldn’t wait for them to be together. The attraction is explained well and who is going to refuse two sexy men who want to be with you? There were parts of this book I wanted to slap the town folk and push Haily, Callum and Arden together.

I really can’t express enough how much I love this book. I put it down yesterday and I want to pick it up again and read it. In fact I hope the author writes a sequel for them. I want to know what happens next and in most books I’m happy with how it ends, with Cowboy Outcasts I want to know MORE.

I highly recommend this read and I will be reading it again soon.
