“This is good. You certainly know how to get food on the table in a jiffy,” he said.

She chuckled. “All the years of working and getting home late with Eden.” She shrugged. “I could probably write a book on shortcuts and all that.”

The moment her grilled cheese was done, Maeve could not stand the taste of the soup. It was just so nasty.

“Do you want some coffee? Hot chocolate? Beer?” She didn’t want him to leave.

She tipped her soup down the sink, and as she turned, Doc was already there, carrying his plate and bowl. He reached behind her and placed it in the sink, and Maeve had to take a moment to try and gain composure. He was so close, a little too close, and he smelled so good. She couldn’t quite place the musky scent, all she knew was it made her insides turn to jelly, and she struggled to focus.

When he put his dishes down, he didn’t move away. Maeve needed him to move back so she would have space to think and breathe. It wasn’t going to happen.

He was so close. And then, she put her hands on his chest. It was like time had stood still between the two of them. Doc didn’t move.

Maeve couldn’t believe she was doing this, but it was like she couldn’t stop herself. The other factor was, she didn’t want to. She had told herself this was just going to be a little fun between friends. Two people who were alone on Valentine’s Day, finding some fun with each other, so they were not lonely.

She was about to take a step back, when Doc’s hand suddenly curled around her back and pulled her in close. A gasp escaped her, but she didn’t have time to even think about it, because within seconds his hands were on her, and he took possession of her mouth.

Maeve moaned. And then a whimper fell from her lips. And the kiss between them deepened as Doc explored her mouth, and she met him, touch for touch.

It was an instant explosion.

She felt the hit between her thighs, and then his hands were all over her, moving down her body, going toward her ass. Doc chuckled and stepped back, but Maeve was there, pulling on the base of his shirt, and she pulled it off and over his head.

“We’re not too drunk for this?” Doc asked.

Maeve smiled. “I’ve had two beers. It takes a lot more than that for me to not know what I want.”

She reached for the belt and tugged. He didn’t fight her, and she slid it open, pulled the belt from all the loops, and dropped it to the floor. She never considered herself a master jeans opener, but she got the button open, and the zipper slid down.

Her dress was still on, with just her tits out. She had no idea how she looked, and in that moment, she didn’t care. She sunk to her knees before him and started to pull the jeans down his thighs. He wore boxer briefs, and even through the black material, she saw the hard ridge outline of his cock. Even through the fabric, she saw he was long and thick.

Maeve reached for his boxers and pulled them down his body, allowing his impressive length to spring free. This is the second book in the Chaos Monsters MC series. You can read as a standalone but if you read the first book, you were probably waiting for this book. I know I was and it was worth the wait. Maeve is an in demand makeup artist and Doc is the Prez of the Chaos Monsters MC and their attraction is palpable. When Doc’s ex wife sets them up to go to a Valentine’s party, they find their chemistry is insane. They start seeing each other secretly to see where it goes. Maeve wants a family but since Doc has a daughter and lost his son, she figures he’s doesn’t need anymore kids. They are exactly what each other needs. When danger threatens the women in his life, Doc fights to save them as he realizes what’s important. You have to read this to see what happens. I received an advance review copy, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Given To The Prez – Book 2 – Chaos Monsters MC – By – Sam Crescent.

This is the second book in the Chaos Monsters MC and I am excited to see what is going to happen. I adored the first book in this series, Razor’s Woman so have high hopes for this story. We initially met Maeve Summers, a highly respected and requested make up artist in the first book as she is Eden’s older sister. The same as we met Doc the club President of the Chaos Monsters MC, Razor’s Prez and close friend. Doc and Maeve were sharing fleeting glances then. I am so happy that they have their story now being told. Maeve is an incredible make up artist with clients all over the world but lately she is beginning to wonder if something is missing from her life. She had to grow up quickly when she was younger, helping to raise Eden her younger sister as their parents were workaholics, then when they past away she took on that responsibility full time and sacrificed so much. She loves Eden and loves make up but now Eden is married to Razor she isn’t needing her as much and her job is slowly becoming all she does in life. A step away and exploring her connection with Doc is exactly what she needs. Doc loves the MC he was born to lead the club, but his other love is his daughter Charlotte that he shares with his ex wife Nancy. It was good reading more about their history to understand the man Doc is today and the way he is with his woman Maeve. There is some MC drama but the story mostly focuses on the budding romance beginning to blossom between Maeve and Doc. I loved watching Doc break down her walls and loving her exactly as she deserves to be loved. It was a beautiful story told as only Sam Crescent can. I loved how Doc and Razor protected Jaime and little June Carmichael maybe there will be a happily ever after in their future too with a big, bad, biker. Mac could do with a reason to turn himself around. Also Charlotte and Slaughter I am obsessed and cannot wait for their story to be told. Overall this was an extremely enjoyable read with really likeable characters and lots of potential for more stories in the future. Still lots to look forward to. Happy Reading.

Two shots of tequila, and Larissa felt rough. She hadn’t been sick, nor had she slept in. Baking was a consolation, but it also wasn’t exactly helping right now, because the baked goods were making her a little queasy.

Her dad had stayed up and made her a hot cup of tea, which she had appreciated. They didn’t talk, and she certainly didn’t tell him she took part in a dare—a crazy, stupid dare, but one she couldn’t get out of her mind.

She did not want to think about that kiss with Big Dick. It could have been anyone walking through that door. She didn’t know what had come over her. She had looked to all the ladies, and it seemed they already knew she couldn’t do it. So, she did, without a question asked. She just got right in and kissed him.

 Of all of the people to enter the damn bar, it had to be Big Dick. Although, that could have gone a lot worse. Kissing any of the other men at the bar that night would have been a nightmare. Kissing Smokey would have been so wrong. Carlos, Ugly Beast, and Hunter, all of them were taken, and she was no cheater. She believed in the sanctity of marriage. It was a sacred vow that should be protected at all costs, not brushed over as if it meant nothing. Marriage meant something to her. It always had and always would.

She finished serving the last of the morning rush customers, and so far, the bakery still had a lot to offer. With the shop empty, she quickly took a quick trip to the back to gather more baked goods to fill the stands so it was bursting to the seams.

As she was picking up the brownies, she heard the doorbell ring, alerting her to more customers, and she quickly rushed back to find George standing in the shop. It was then she realized in her mind that she had been calling him Big Dick. She took a deep breath. She liked that she always called him George.

“George,” she said. “Good morning.”

It was Saturday morning, and she glanced over at him, trying not to look at his lips. That kiss had been a dare, and it didn’t matter. George hated her and didn’t like her around the club, which is why she always stayed away. Although her friends had invited her, she tried not to visit the club so they could enjoy their time without her around.

“Morning, beautiful,” he said.

This made her frown. George had never been nice to her, and more often than not, he treated her like a pain in the ass.

“What can I get you?” she asked, putting the items she had gathered into place, and the tray on the back counter behind her.

“How about you and me going out for coffee?”

Again, this was new.

“Uh, no, thank you. I’m working.”

“What are you doing after work?”

“I’ve got an appointment with Hailey at the beauty parlor,” she said, still frowning.

“Why?”

“Because I asked Hailey to help me with some things, and she promised she would.”

She wanted to learn how to put on makeup. For Christmas her father had gotten her a beauty set. It had surprised her but also delighted her. He had listened to her constantly ramble on about the new beauty parlor and how much she loved it, and he had paid attention. That meant a lot to her. The only snag, like most things in her life, was the fact she didn’t know how to put makeup on. She felt like in most cases, mothers were there to help.

Her mother wasn’t around. Just as she hadn’t been there for Mother’s Day, or prom, or the day she had gotten her first menstrual cycle. Between herself and her dad, that had been an experience she didn’t want to repeat. Then came the sex talk.

At least her father had been honest. He hadn’t held anything back. He was the town pastor and took his role seriously, but at no point did he want his daughter to follow in his footsteps. He wanted her to make her own choices.

Which was what her mother had done. No one in town knew what had happened to her mother, but she did. Her father had always been truthful. Her mother had been a wild child, a whirlwind, and Jonah had fallen hard. He thought she had wanted a happy life, a marriage, a child, but it had lasted only a couple of years. Then her mother had felt trapped. She didn’t want to be attached to the same man and she didn’t want a kid around her neck. Without a backward glance, she had divorced her father and just left town, never to be seen or heard from again. They didn’t know if she was alive or dead.

Over the years, her father had gotten over her. Larissa knew that. The pictures of her had come down, to be replaced by the memories she and her father had made. She often wondered if her father was worried that she, herself, would be wild and want to run off into the sunset. Larissa was nothing like that. She wanted a happy life. To fall in love with someone who loved her just as much. A family. She had to stop saying what she wanted, because she was starting to think it wasn’t going to happen.

Larissa wanted to be the mother her own mother wasn’t.

“Maybe another time?” George asked.

“Why?” she asked.

“Why, what?”

“You’re confusing me, George. You don’t like me, remember? No one wants me around.” She laughed.

“Yeah, well, maybe I’ve changed my mind.”

Hold on and be prepared for twists, turns and deceptions you don’t see coming. This is not your usual MC series. The men are complex and when they make a mistake they really do. What’s the saying,  Go big or go home”? This applies to the men of Hell’s Bastards MC. This is George and Larissa’s story. George aka Big Dick, is the latest victim of his own stupidity. When a bet goes sideways and Larissa discovers the truth, George realizes the devastating mistake he’s made. The groveling that ensues isn’t tedious but when danger surfaces, no one is safe. This needs to be read to truly appreciate this book. It has danger, love, loss, violence, redemption.  This is a Must Read! I received an advance review copy, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This is the sixth book in the amazing Hell’s Bastards MC Series and it features around Big Dick/George Erickson and Larissa Adams. The story begins several months after Harlow and Hunter’s wedding and the last attack that saw Harlow hurt along with Hailey and Larissa both suffering from gunshot wounds that they caught in the crossfire from their attack from Cadeon and the rest of the Twisted Bastards MC. Larissa has caught the attention of Big Dick and he doesn’t even realise why. He knows he likes to keep an eye on her, he finds her in every room he enters, he doesn’t understand why, he just does. She is the flickering light burning bright and he is the moth that cannot keep away but he doesn’t realise it is love that keeps drawing him towards her. Without understanding his own true feelings Big Dick makes a bet with Carlos, Raven’s husband. It is a callous bet that he can get Larissa into his bed within a year and he doesn’t even realise the huge mistake he is making when he agrees to it or what he could potentially lose if it is ever discovered. Larissa is a little suspicious of Big Dick as he has never been flirty towards her before, he always thought she was prim and proper, a bit of a prude and thought herself above the MC which was never the case at all. However now he is being civil and once she sees a different side to him, a sweet, kind, considerate and funny side Larissa begins to see that there is so much more to him than she ever thought possible. She begins to let her guard down and fall for him wholeheartedly, then reality sets in, truths are discovered, hearts are broken, relationships are irrevocably changed and the threat to the Hell’s Bastards MC in the form of Cadeon and the Twisted Bastards is still out there and stronger than ever. This is a great addition to a really enthralling MC series that is subject matter this author excels at. The push and pull between Larissa and Big Dick has been previously hinted at but you could tell Big Dick was fighting it as he believed Larissa was not cut out for the MC world. By taking this stupid bet and forcing himself to get to know her he is continually surprised by her and that is something that rarely happens to him. She is not at all what he thought and finds himself wanting to be with her more and more. We also see a different side to Big Dick at first he is cocky, arrogant and as his name suggests a bit of a dick but as he opens up more we see a tender, loving side to him. There is definitely more to him than I initially thought. When the truth is discovered his confusion over his feelings and then his tenacity to regain his woman’s trust is all so beautiful to read. He is completely swoonworthy as he tries to win back his woman and I adored seeing that side of him. This story is well written and engaging from beginning to end. It is packed with love, romance, spicy scenes, action, family and humour and of course the brotherhood of Hell’s Bastards MC that we know and love. I can’t wait to see more of Hailey and Kinky they need to find their happily ever after and also seeing Brick fall is no doubt going to be exciting. Still lots to look forward to as the club continues to fight for survival and to protect its own. Their is a happily ever after for the couple but the threat remains unresolved. Overall a great story that is a great addition to a truly great MC series. Happy Reading.

She dipped her spoon back into her ice cream. Her gaze kept moving toward him, traveling up the length of his body, and then averting his gaze. He didn’t want her to look away. He wanted her to look at him, and only him.

“You’re … naked.”

“No, I’m wearing a towel.”

He looked at her, and the truth was, Kelley had stopped being a kid a long time ago. Even before he’d met her, he had a feeling she hadn’t enjoyed a childhood for long.

Taking hold of the knot, he eased it open and allowed his towel to drop to the floor. “Now, I’m naked.”

The spoon she had in her hand clattered to the floor. Her mouth opened, but she had swallowed that lump of ice cream. She looked at him, and there was shock in her eyes, which he was more than happy to see.

You know best, but you know what, we can just sit here and guess which of these guys are going to get her to dance.” Lidia looked across from him, and he was trying not to look. “There is a guy approaching their table, and … don’t worry. False alarm. He has taken Violet to go and dance. Hold on, it’s coming. There is another guy approaching the table.”

Pat didn’t get to hear her running commentary as he made his way toward the table, stopping anyone from getting to Ava.

“Do you want to dance?” he asked.

Ava’s eyes went wide.

She held a drink in each hand. One of them was clearly her sister’s beer, and the other an orange juice.

“Yes, I’d love to.” She looked at the drinks.

“Leave them. I’ll buy you two fresh drinks.”

And with that, he held his hand out. He didn’t know why, but he expected her to ignore his hand, but she didn’t. She put her hand in his, and that was it. It felt right.

There was a current circulating between them, and he led her onto the dance floor. Pat didn’t dance. He hadn’t taken a woman onto the dance floor in a long time. Yet, pulling Ava into his arms, he ignored the upbeat rhythm that filled the air. None of that mattered. All he cared about was the woman in his arms.

For several seconds neither of them spoke.

“You know, I didn’t think you were going to ask me to dance,” Ava said.

“I wasn’t.”

“Oh.” Her lips formed the perfect little O, and he saw that he’d upset her.

“But, I couldn’t stand the thought of another man asking you to dance.”

“You couldn’t?”

“No, there are a lot of assholes here, Ava. You deserve someone better.”

“So, you’re not dancing with me because you want to, but because you think there is no one here worthy of dancing with me?”

Pat frowned. “I’m not good at this,” he said.

“I don’t know, if you want to give the girl a message that you are not seeing her in any way other than a friend, the message is received.”

He had no idea what was happening here.

“I don’t consider you a friend,” he said.

“Thanks?” Ava asked.

“I think you’re beautiful, Ava. I look at you, and…” He stopped. Should he tell her? Would he scare her away? Would it be good to say this?

He stared into her eyes, and he didn’t know what it was about her, but he just went with it. Pat leaned in close. Two things could happen. One, she’d slap him, and that would be the end of that. Or, she’d be interested. He would never be rude to a woman.

“And I think about taking you home, stripping you naked, and showing you every little thing I could do to you.”

She let out a gasp.

“To put it short, Ava, I want to fuck you. That is why I keep coming to the coffee shop.”

She didn’t pull away. There was no slap. She didn’t scream at him, and when he pulled away, she didn’t look offended at what he had said to her. She looked … happy.

There was so much more he wanted to say, but then he heard the scream, the sound of gunfire, and the ground shook as an explosion filled the air.

He grabbed Ava, pulling her behind him. “Stay here,” he said.

Without another word, he rushed outside and saw what happened. His bike was pulled away from all the other vehicles, had been shot at, and when a bullet hit the gas tank his bike exploded. In the distance, he saw the red lights.

His cell phone was already lighting up, and when he put the phone to his ear, he heard that the clubhouse parking lot had also been targeted.

It wasn’t going to end now. Daisy wasn’t going to die. She couldn’t die. He wouldn’t let her die.

The doors opened and Anthony watched as his father, mother, along with most of the Skulls’ parents stepped through the doors. Tiny and Eva were close on Lash’s heels. Nash and Sophia, Murphy and Tate, Killer and Kelsey were there also. He knew there would be more to come.

Anthony knew he didn’t have to wait long before he felt his father’s wrath. He was grabbed and suddenly thrust up against the wall. There was no way he was going to fight his father.

“You little fucking shit. What did you do?” Lash asked.

He had seen his father angry many times in his lifetime, more than any kid should. He was aware he was not the first true child of his parents. He was their firstborn son, but their first child was killed in the womb after his mother was shot, which they never talked about. Not that his parents ever made him feel less. Knowing he was the second didn’t bother him.

Back home there were also Chloe and Conner, but neither of them had anything to do with this plan.

“What the fuck did you do?” Lash asked.

“Lash, come on, this is not the time—”

Anthony loved his mother, but he also knew it was not her place to stop this. This was the consequence for his actions, and part of him wanted to feel the sting of his father’s knuckles. Not that Lash had ever hit him, not truly. Sure, he’d spanked his bottom from time to time, but nothing he didn’t deserve. Lash was a good father and an amazing leader.

“I did what you couldn’t,” Anthony said.

The anger in Lash’s face was acute. He had never seen him act like this, never seen this amount of rage.

“Oh, is that right, is it?” Lash asked. “You did what you thought I couldn’t.”

“They raped Tabitha, and it took her driving all the way over here to put them in their place. You and I both know the Monster Dogs wouldn’t stop. They needed to be taken out. They needed to be fucking annihil—”

“And you thought you were the kids to do it? You’re not long out of your diapers, and you think you could take on a whole club by yourself?”

Anthony stared at his father. The lapel of his leather cut was firmly gripped in his hands, along with his shirt. A shirt covered in Daisy’s blood.

Taking down the first wave of Monster Dogs MC outside of the compound, partying, had been easy. Like taking down a couple of beer cans. Easy targets. The true danger happened when they got inside, and that was when things went to shit. They’d been waiting and had been prepared.

That was when it had gone wrong. Anthony hadn’t stopped, but he’d known Daisy had followed him. The club members had become animals, taking them down, one by one, until Daniella.

Daniella was one of the girls who had hurt Tabitha in high school. She’d rounded up her posse of girls and attacked Tabitha when she was alone. Ryan had been there as well, when they all ganged up on Tabitha to beat the crap out of her and put her in the hospital.

Daisy had broken her vow to never fight in the quad after that. Anthony had known his woman kept herself on a tight leash. The moment she started, it was impossible for her to stop. That night, Daisy had broken Daniella’s face, and from what he heard, even plastic surgery hadn’t been able to fix the damage.

Tonight, he watched, for the first time in his life, feeling helpless, as Daniella not only shot Daisy in the fucking back, but while he was pinned down by one of the enemies, he watched that blade slide into Daisy’s stomach three times and then plunge in her chest.

Luke, their enemy, had killed Daniella. Accepting Luke’s deal had been a mistake.

Fuck.

In the back of his mind, he saw Daisy being struck with that knife, sliding into her body, and it was like it was striking himself.

As long as Anthony could remember, he had never cried, even when being attacked and holding Tabitha after she was raped. Not even when he discovered the truth about fairy tales and Santa Claus. Not once did he cry, feel sad, or feel anything.

Staring at his dad, he suddenly couldn’t handle it.

Daisy had been struck. Luke had been the one to save her, and in that moment Anthony was finally able to break free from the choke hold. He’d slammed his blade into the enemy’s neck and went straight to Daisy.

“She’s hurt,” Anthony said.

He was not playing his dad. This was real emotion, real pain. It was raw, and it fucking hurt. Everyone looked to him as the weird one, the one who didn’t fucking talk.

He didn’t care. He didn’t see the point in wasting his time with stupid words when people didn’t listen. He had come to realize that no one listened, they all assumed, and they didn’t care. Everyone was interested in their own lives, and everyone else didn’t matter. This was why he didn’t talk.

Then there was the darkness. For the longest time, he had accepted the darkness that surrounded him. Watching people laugh was foreign to him, until Daisy. Seeing her laugh filled him with a light he didn’t know could be possible.

Daisy was everything to him. The love of his life. The light of his whole freaking world.

“I told you … there would be consequences…” Those were the words Daisy had said to him as she pressed her hand against her stomach and started the fight to survive.

Daisy couldn’t die. He wouldn’t allow it.

“How are you?” she asked.

Hawk stepped closer. “I’m fine. Talk to me about your day.”

He hadn’t sat down. He was close. Closer than she was used to him being. She had no choice but to tilt her head back to look at him. His heavy masculine scent was so intoxicating, and she felt a wash of arousal sweep over her, which took her completely by surprise.

“I feel like I’ve been talking about my day for a long time.”

He smiled. “The good news is, I like to hear it.”

“Why?” she asked, tilting her head to the side.

“What?”

“Why do you like hearing about my day? I’m always a little surprised to see you, waiting for me, helping me.”

“Can’t a friend help you out?” he asked.

Had he gotten closer? It felt like he had, and they were sharing the same air. What was happening to her? She kept dropping her gaze to his lips. They were mesmerizing.

“Is that what you are?” she asked. “A friend?”

For a long time, she didn’t care about putting a label on it. There was no point. She had no idea what he was doing, but figured he would grow bored and move on. She didn’t want to think of him moving on without her.

This was stupid.

He reached up and placed his hand on the wall above her head. “Tell me if there is anything else I can be?” he asked.

His other hand went to her waist and at his touch, she took a deep breath and felt that edge of panic. This was … different. This was not two friends getting along. This was something more, something uniquely dangerous.

Did she want to change what they had?

The friendship?

Did she want more?

He came in close, and she panicked.

“I’ve never kissed anyone,” she said. Those words just blurted right out of her mouth, and she knew they must have made her sound like an absolute fool.

Hawk didn’t pull back.

“You’ve never been kissed?”

She shook her head. Words were failing her.

“At all?”

“No.” At least that was a word.

He frowned.

“I’ve never had sex.” And there went another little admission she had hoped to keep to herself.

His gaze seemed to darken. She couldn’t figure out what he was thinking. Hawk was a hard man to read, not that it had been easier to read him before this moment. If she could read him, she’d know exactly what was going on in his mind, but she didn’t have a clue.

“Never?”

“No.”

“No man has touched this body? Seen you naked? Fucked you?”

“No,” she said, and she couldn’t help but laugh. She wasn’t even entertained, and now she was a little embarrassed. More than a little embarrassed. She didn’t want to talk about this anymore. She wasn’t quite sure where she got the strength to push him out of her way, but she did so and then spun toward him, feeling a little victorious. She wanted to fist pump the air, but instead she reeled it in. “No, I’ve never had sex with anyone. I get it, my mom is a whore, how can it be possible for me to not have fucked someone? Trust me, there were men that wanted to and didn’t care that I was underage, but hell, no. The guys at school were cruel, and there was no way I was dating. Hell, no.”

She was on a roll and was not going to be steered from her rant. Only, one moment she was standing in her sitting area of the trailer, and Hawk was in the kitchen, a few feet away from her. In the next second, he was right there, his hands cupping her face.

“Shut the fuck up,” he said.

And she didn’t even get to question him, or say, “how dare you.” There was no time for anything.

He cupped her face, tilted her head back, and then his lips were on hers, and she couldn’t think. Hawk was kissing her. His lips were hard, firm, but there was a slight softness to them.

Nikki didn’t have a clue what she was doing, and was pretty much making it up as she went along. The kiss seemed to awaken a part of her.

Hawk sunk one of his hands into her hair, and the other he stroked down toward her hip, cupping her tightly. She couldn’t help but let out a whimper. The pleasure of his touch alone was so intense.

She felt the tip of his tongue as it traced across her lip, and she couldn’t help but gasp. This seemed to be what he wanted, as he plundered her mouth. Another moan escaped her, but the sound was drowned out, completely taken over as he kissed her harder.

All too soon, his cell phone went off, and the kiss came to an end.
