Childish.
Immature.

All of her life, Mia had grown up knowing she wasn’t good enough. Even though she was arranged to marry Giovanni Fabbri, all she was ever told was how she didn’t match up. Her marriage did start out great—until she overheard the truth from her husband’s lips.

To many, that insult wouldn’t matter. To Mia, it broke her heart because it was what she had been told her whole life. She was just not good enough.

Giovanni doesn’t find his wife childish. What he doesn’t like is sharing her. He’s a selfish bastard, and he’s obsessed with Mia. But now he’s brought a wedge between them, and he doesn’t know how to repair it.

Mia still loves her husband. How can she prove she’s not a child? When trouble comes calling to the mafia, Giovanni needs answers, and Mia is more than happy to help. When everything keeps going wrong, what will happen when Giovanni finds out she’s pregnant? And who is behind the kidnappings?

The drug had worn off and Mia looked at Giovanni, knowing he was pissed. She didn’t take them to get high, or anything else. Staring at him right now, she couldn’t help but deny that he was sexy. She felt a warmth between her thighs.

“Hey,” she said, sitting up.

Her body didn’t feel tired. It felt … aroused. At least, she felt like it did.

“What the fuck were you thinking?” he asked.

Mia didn’t want to argue with him. He’d been so sweet, carrying her from the chair to the couch, and then sitting over her. She had no idea in knowing how long she was out.

Mia remembered the night—Giovanni just leaving her at the nightclub to have his business meeting. He had done it several times before, but for some reason, it angered her tonight. She hated him for just walking away. Mia had followed him, but as she got close, her guards had stopped.

Mia had seen him talking to that beautiful woman. She didn’t know who that woman was, just that she looked stunning, mature, and confident. The dress suit molded to every curve, and the woman’s hair was pulled back into a bun. Giovanni seemed completely absorbed in what the woman was saying.

Mia hated the feelings that swept over her at the sight of the woman—anger, jealousy, fear. Giovanni would not see her that way, because he saw her as a child. Mia knew she should be angry right now.

She wanted to be angry. He had been talking to another woman and might even be having an affair with that woman, but she didn’t feel that anger at the moment. Instead, she reached out and felt the fullness of his shoulders. Giovanni was a muscular man, hard and firm in all the right places.

“Mia?”

“When did you get so … thick?” she asked.

Mia dropped to her knees, ran her hands up Giovanni’s chest, and slid the jacket off his shoulders.

“Mia?”

“Sh, let’s not fight. Not tonight. We have a duty, remember?”

Mia got to her feet and pulled Giovanni to his feet. The only problem was, the door looked so far away, as did the bedroom. There was no way she would last all that time, so she pushed Giovanni toward the couch and made him sit down. Without another word, she straddled his waist and cupped his face. She stared into his eyes and kissed him.

It had been so long since she had felt his lips against hers, and she didn’t want to wait another second. Sliding her tongue across his bottom lip, she let out a moan, then a whimper because she ground her pelvis against his dick.

“I want you,” Mia said.

Grabbing the lapels of his shirt, she felt like a woman possessed. She tore the shirt open and didn’t give a damn where the buttons landed. All she cared about was touching Giovanni. She wanted her hands all over him. She wanted to feel him against her.

Tugging at his belt and then his pants, she had his button open and his zipper pulled down. A whimper escaped her as she eased out his long, thick cock.

She had loved having sex with Giovanni. Mia had loved the closeness they had. In the last few months, they still had sex, because she had a duty to follow.

She had no choice in being a mother to Giovanni’s children. Also, she had never mentioned that she also loved to have sex with him. Even if at times it was in the bedroom, facing each other. Sometimes it felt very mechanical, but she did love sex, something she had never told anyone, not even her friends.

Mia climbed off Giovanni’s lap and without waiting for him to touch her, she grabbed the hem of her dress, as it had no fastenings, and simply pulled it right off her head, leaving her in a pair of panties and matching bra.

Mia straddled his lap again, and Giovanni put his hands on her body, and it felt so good. She moaned his name.

Words Cut Deep – By – Sam Crescent

This book is related to characters we previously met in the story titled Doormat written by Sam Crescent. I would suggest you read Doormat first to enjoy these characters but it is not essential as this story does stand on its own. When four best friends, Liana, Mia, Clarissa and Tatiana all of whom marry four men who are also best friends and the scariest of men in the Colombo Mafia, Diego, Giovanni, Lorenzo and Emilio, accidentally overhear their husbands saying some not so nice comments about them they are all equally upset and angry as they thought their marriages were going well. The women were starting to each have feelings for their husbands until the truth of their thoughts comes to light. Mia hears Giovanni call her excitement for things childish, Tatiana hears her husband brag about having a mistress, Clarissa hears her husband calling her boring especially in bed and Liana’s husband called her a Doormat but he soon learned how very wrong he was about that in their story which was great! This story features around Mia Fabbri and her husband Giovanni. Mia has had a lifetime of hearing her family calling her childish, immature, useless and other unkind words but when she hears the words childish from her husband’s lips she is heartbroken. She thought they had a good marriage and were happy but hearing those words above all others from the one person she thought was on her side crushes her. Giovanni doesn’t realise the consequences that one silly mistake could cause. He loves his wife just the way she is and is frustrated as she tries to change herself after hearing his callous words. Giovanni has to prove to his wife that she is perfect as she is and that she is exactly the wife he wants, all whilst handling Mafia business and dealing with a threat against the family that could be a danger to his own wife if he doesn’t figure out who is threatening the Colombo Family existence. This was such a well written story. I am delighted that we got to see Mia and Giovanni work through their problems and am excited to see which couple will be having their story told next. The characters are engaging and likeable. I loved Mia’s personality we need more people in the world like her. Giovanni was better than I could of imagined, a strong male that could show his woman love, tenderness and exquisite passion. The story kept me hooked from the beginning and throughout. I cannot wait for more. Happy Reading.
Please note that I was given an arc of this book for my honest review which is exactly what I have given.

Incredible Story!

Reviewed in the United States on April 8, 2026

This is based on the book Doormat, in which we met four friends who discover what their husband’s think of them. This story can be read on its own. This is Mia’s story. All her life, Mia has been told she’s not good enough and the things she did were childish and immature. She thinks her arranged marriage to Giovanni is good, that is until she overhears a conversation in which Gio complains that Mia is childish. This hits her like a freight train and crushes her spirit. Figuring she’ll change herself, she becomes another person. No colorful clothes or seasonal parties,  she becomes muted. Giovanni knows what he said is not how he feels but doesn’t know how to undo the damage. Now seeing the changes in Mia and trouble within the Mafia that may threaten Mia, Giovanni struggles to fix his mistake and protect Mia. This is a great groveling romance with twists and turns you don’t see coming. Loved this book.

When Astrid Sinclair was sixteen years old, she had her first encounter with Lord, the lone wolf who lived near No Wolves Road. He stopped her from getting run over, as she was so engrossed in her book. Lord was not a man anyone wanted to mess with. A grumpy, lonely wolf, with no pack.

But, he was also a man she couldn’t stop thinking about. That’s why she answered his ad for a housekeeper and chose to work at his ranch.

Lord hated books. Yet, every day, he went to the library where Astrid worked. He needed a cook and a cleaner, and Astrid answered that ad. The job was hers.

He wasn’t good with people, but Astrid called to a part of him he didn’t know existed. Astrid was his, he was sure of it. One night, during the full moon, he went to her, and he couldn’t control his need. She gave her virginity to him, and in return, he called her a convenience.

Hurt. Betrayed. She tried to forget about him. She tried to build a life away from him, even as she continued to work. However, there were forces working to bring them together. Neither could fight it.

They were at the mercy of their needs. Would they be able to forget their past and fight for their future?

“I’m not going to do anything,” Lord said.

Blake looked at him, doubtful.

“I’m never close to home during a full moon, and I have no intention of going back there until after the full moon has come and gone.” That was as clear as he could get.

“You’re not. Won’t you starve?”

“I have already packed myself some food to get by.” He knew he was acting strangely, and the best way to deal with that problem was to keep a wide berth.

Astrid was the problem, as was the full moon. If he kept his distance, all would be okay.

He and Blake continued to fix the rest of the fences that had broken down. It didn’t matter how often he did this job, it was a never-ending task. Fences wore over time and constantly needed fixing. It was a job he liked to do himself, and not rely on anyone else. After they got through the fixing, he took his lunch case and let Blake take the car back to the house.

He made his way toward the forest that was far from his property, but also a nice, secluded spot that meant he never interacted with anyone else. In all the years he’d been at No Wolves Road during a full moon, he’d thankfully avoided other packs.

Lord knew he was an anomaly to most of the packs. He knew there were always horror stories about wolves expelled by packs. When he was first expelled, he had feared the rabid taking over. Becoming rogue. Hurting people. Even though he wasn’t the biggest fan of humans, he didn’t want to hurt anyone. He only hurt people in self-defense. And that was rare.

He found his spot, which was near an old-looking tree. This is where he spent a lot of full moons. There were occasions he would run, but he would always come to rest at the thickest trunk, and this is where he sat, opening his lunch tray and taking out one of the many burritos Astrid had prepared just that morning. She hadn’t known he’d been watching her. There were parts of the house where he could stand and just look at her without her knowing. Although, she had known someone was watching her, with the way she kept looking over to where he stood.

The burrito was delicious. She had made some kind of breakfast meat, rice, beans, cheese, and wrapped it all in a tortilla. It tasted so good, and within a few bites, it was all gone.

This is why he stole a second one, and he took a nice large bite out of it, stuffing his face as he did, trying to think of someone other than Astrid. This morning, she had worn a pair of jeans and an oversized sweater that kept riding up over her stomach every time she reached for something off the top shelf. He couldn’t get the image out of his mind. Not that he would ever want to. She looked amazing.

The temptation to close the distance between them and press his face against her stomach had been so strong. He didn’t know how he was able to avoid it.

Lord couldn’t deny he had gotten closer to her. There had been a moment when the temptation to pull her into his arms had been so strong, but he had avoided it and just stole the burritos, along with the cookies.

He finished the two burritos he had taken, along with the five cookies. It was in that moment, he didn’t know what he was going to do about food tomorrow. There was no way he could go back to the house.

Astrid was too much temptation. He couldn’t deny it. Even now, as he sat leaning against his favorite tree trunk, he couldn’t stop thinking about her. The delicate curve of her neck. The sweetness of her body as it pressed against him. He felt his cock start to thicken and his need getting stronger. Lord wanted her desperately. But she was human. There was no way he was going to stop her.

And he thought about that day, all those years ago, when he’d been minding his own business. She’d caught his attention for just a brief second, and he figured humans were crazy, with their heads so focused on books. He was not going to let anything happen to her.

He’d seen the danger, and it was like his wolf couldn’t stand it. He could blame his wolf, but the truth was, neither could he.

He felt compelled to protect Astrid. He had a feeling he knew why, but Astrid was a human, and he was never going to mate with a human. These feelings had to stay dead. It would never work.

Doormat!

That’s the word Liana Marchetti heard her husband use to describe her as to his friends. She was a boring doormat that didn’t have a single thought for herself. He was so wrong. Being a mafia wife, she tried to play the role that she thought he would like. Now, he was going to see who the real Liana was.

And she wanted a divorce.

Diego did not want to be married. However, when his wife demands a divorce he told her there were only two ways. One, if she betrayed the mafia, he would kill her. The second, if she even dared to be with another man, he’d kill him and get rid of her. His wife had other ideas. Liana was going to make him work.

She had no interest in any other man. Because the truth was, Diego had hurt her. She had started to fall in love with her husband, but there was no way she was going to succumb to a man who thought she was a doormat.

However, Diego is completely blown away by his wife. He didn’t want a doormat, he relished the fire and passion burning inside her, and now, he was not going to let her go. He was going to keep her, and if that meant winning her back, that was exactly what he was going to do.

Swimming helped to clear her mind. At least, it used to help clear her mind, whereas now, it wasn’t exactly helping at all.

Liana had known the moment Diego had entered the room. Besides the fact the door beeped when someone entered the room, she could also sense him. Her father had installed the beep as a security measure. Several years ago, a couple of his enemies had been able to sneak onto the property, kill a few of the soldiers, and get inside the house. Every door beeped as you went in or out of the house. It was great, until someone wanted to go outside to sneak a cigarette. That was her brother, and it tended to wake her up when it happened.

Liana had actually been in the pool when the two men had broken into the house. It had been dark, and she had eased beneath the water so none of them could see her. She’d been the one to send the alert to her father and grab one of the guns from the secure case.

According to Enzo Jr., she did not have a kill, however, she believed she did. She had taken down one of the masked men, and her brother the other, but he had claimed both deaths. She refused to argue with him. They had killed bad men.

Not that death was easy to deal with. She acted all tough in front of her father and brother, but she had gone to the bathroom and vomited. Afterward, she also had nightmares, and thinking back to that, she had a feeling that was why her brother had claimed both kills. So, she didn’t have to deal with it. The truth was, she didn’t know if she had killed anyone or not. She kept replaying the whole thing in her head, but she didn’t know if she had shot her gun, or if her brother had shot more than one bullet. She was a good shot when the target wasn’t moving. Either way, that had been a long time ago.

“It’s time for us to go home,” he said.

“I’m not going to your house.” She didn’t move from her position in the pool. Diego, however, took one step, then another, until he was close, and within touching distance. “I want a divorce.”

Her brother had asked her to consider her options. He didn’t believe divorce was the answer. Liana had no interest in staying married to such a horrible man. She had tried to be married to him, and after six months, he was quite happy to laugh and joke about her. Not happening. She was not going to keep playing a part.

“Not happening,” Diego said.

“What?”

“We’re not getting a divorce.”

“I don’t want to stay married to you,” she said.

“Tough.”

She glared at him, and then when he reached down as if to grab her and pull her out of the pool, she kicked back away from the edge so he would have no choice but to either climb into the pool to get her, or deal with not being able to.

“You’re not listening to me,” she said.

“And you’re not listening to me. There will be no divorce, and seeing as I’m the one in charge, what I say goes.”

She couldn’t even believe the audacity of the man. “Well, if you don’t want a divorce, I suggest you leave. This is my father’s house, and you are not welcome here!”

He stood staring at her, and she glared at him, refusing to budge. He might be used to being the one in charge, but he was about to find out what having her as an enemy was all about. What surprised her was that he unbuttoned his shirt.

“What are you doing?” she asked.

Diego didn’t answer, as he removed his shirt, revealing his very heavily muscled chest covered in ink. She was not distracted by the view, but she continued to glare at him, and then he removed his pants and as he climbed into the pool. Liana started to swim to the opposite side.

Just as she got to the other side, she put her hands up and started to lift herself out, only arms banded around her waist and pulled her right back into the water. She let out a growl, because she felt the sheer strength of him and knew she was no match. Liana tried to wriggle out of his arms, but he just swam with her further into the pool until they were in the center, and neither at the small end or the deep end. They didn’t even go under the water.

Diego held her tightly.

“Let me go!”

“No.”

She tried to become a dead weight in his arms, but that was no good, because he held her up and the water actually helped him. This was a nightmare.

After a few seconds, she slammed her hand on top of the water, sending up a splash of water. “What will it take to get you out of my damn life?”

“Liana, we’re married. Nothing is going to separate us. You could be pregnant with my child. There is no way I am going to accept a divorce.”

“I don’t want to be married to a man like you.”

New Release: Nobody Wants Me

It’s finally here 😱😱😱

Nobody Wants Me is NOW LIVE!!!

Are you ready to know what happens next?

Freya
All of my life I’ve been a burden. My father didn’t love me. Hated the way that I looked. Spent all of his time trying to convince me to change. Brothers who bullied me. And a mother I never knew.

Marrying Victor Abdulov is the only truth I know. But, a past I didn’t know about is going to get me killed. I hated my husband, until I fell in love with him. I never got to tell him, and now it is going to be too late.

Victor
I did not want a wife.

I did not want to fall in love.

I just wanted to be a Brigadier and serve Ivan Volkov. He had given me the chance to make shit right. But, my wife is so much more than I could have imagined, and I was a dick to her. I need to make it right. People are out to take her from me, and I am willing to follow her to the ends of the earth to keep her alive.

I didn’t want her, now I don’t think I can breathe without her. In vows, we always say, until death do we part, because we expect a lifetime together—not a love that ends before we know it.

My stomach growled again, just as Victor turned, holding the tray of food.

“Breakfast is ready.”

I’m not used to Victor being so … friendly. He seemed quite cheery and approachable. I didn’t know if I wanted him to yell at me, so I could convince myself that he is in fact the same person.

Following him to the dining room table, I saw a bowl and a plate set up for each of us, complete with a fork, spoon, and a butter knife.

“Have your pick,” he said.

All I wanted was to sip my coffee. “I’ll just have some coffee to start.”

He nodded his head, then reached out and started to fill his bowl to the top, and even dome it with fruit. Before he even started eating the fruit, he took a slice of toast, some jam, and spread it thickly, taking a bite.

For me, I had a sip of my coffee, and the milk wasn’t half bad. Was I seriously thinking in terms of the taste of milk, rather than the fact we had to come to a damn deserted island because people are going to kill me?

“What happens if they kill me?” I asked.

“They won’t.”

“But, I mean, if they do, does it just go away?”

Victor took another bite of his toast, and he looked at me a little sternly. I was not going to back down.

“If they kill you, then yes, in theory, it all goes away.”

“Can’t we just fake my death?”

Victor chuckled and I wasn’t sure if he was entertained or not.

“No.”

“Why not?”

“Because we can’t.”

I found that hard to believe.

Victor ate some more of his fruit, and my stomach rumbled so I reached for some to add to my bowl.

“If we attempted to fake your death, or if they even succeeded in killing you, there would be knock-on effects from it.”

This made me frown. “How? It’s not like I’m anyone important. I’m a complete and total nobody.”

“You’re now part of the Volkov Bratva. If anyone attempted to kill you or if they succeeded, it would show Ivan as weak.”

“How does it not show him being weak now?” I asked.

“Because, while we’re here, he is hunting down the ones who are willing to take the hit. There is going to come a point where people will realize to get to you risks death. Even if they kill you, Ivan will not stop until he kills everyone responsible. Your life is important,” Victor said. “There is no way anyone is going to get away with killing you.”

“Your life is important.”

Those words rang in my head. I couldn’t believe what he had said. Was this even real? It didn’t make any sense to me at all.

I felt a little sick. Tears filled my eyes. I’m not important. I had never been important. I’m the girl no one wants. I didn’t want Victor to see me cry.

“Excuse me.”

I don’t know if he detected the croak in my voice, but I don’t linger to speak to him. I just get to my feet and rush like crazy to get the hell out of there.

Taking a deep breath as I get outside. I exhale slowly. Then, I do the same all over again. I’m trying to stop the tears from falling, but today they are giving me some real trouble. All I want to do is sob. Only, I can’t just do it. The outside and the beauty that surrounds me is breathtaking.

I clench my hands into fists.

“Why are you crying?” Victor asked.

I spun around and sure enough, he is standing there.

How can he look so good now? I mean, I know my husband looked good, but back at our house, where he was dressed the role, he didn’t seem quite so handsome. Also, he was showing more concern in the past half hour than he had just the past month and a half of our marriage.

“I’m not important,” I said. “I’m nobody.”

He looked at me and then surprised me and took me into his arms. I had no idea what the hell was happening. Why was Victor hugging me? Why was I in his arms? It made absolutely no sense to me, and I tried not to freak out.

Only, I wrapped my arms around him and pressed my face against his chest. I held onto him, and I didn’t want to let him go.

New Release: Hawks Woman

Now available in Paperback, and Audio

Will he be able to earn her forgiveness?

This is a completely full-length standalone story, and is not connected to any of my other MC Romances. <3

Nikki didn’t want to be at the stupid Devil’s Beasts MC clubhouse. Growing up with a mother who had a revolving door of men or clients, she wasn’t into the party mood. However, she was not going to let her best friend down. She was there in case her friend needed a ride. That was the day she met him.

Hawk loved women. He enjoyed many a variety and was not the settling down type. When a young brunette walked into his domain, he knew he should have steered clear. He couldn’t get her out of his head. She was not like any other woman.

Nikki didn’t try to flirt with him, or gain his attention. She treated him like a man, or at times, like a pain in the ass. It was refreshing. An odd kind of friendship was born.

Hawk wanted to be there for her. He wanted to turn her bad luck around.

For Nikki, she was falling for him, although she had promised to never fall for any man. One kiss led into another, and one moment she was a virgin, the next, she wasn’t. A secret affair began. There were rules. She was not allowed to go near the club. No one was to know they were together. It was their little secret.

But then the letters started. Someone was out to hurt Nikki. Was it a joke? Was it serious? Was it a mistake?

Then the truth comes out. She didn’t earn her place, Hawk manipulated everything. He was embarrassed by her. Will Hawk be able to figure out who is threatening his woman before it’s too late? Will he be able to earn back her forgiveness?

Be Warned: anal sex

“How are you?” she asked.

Hawk stepped closer. “I’m fine. Talk to me about your day.”

He hadn’t sat down. He was close. Closer than she was used to him being. She had no choice but to tilt her head back to look at him. His heavy masculine scent was so intoxicating, and she felt a wash of arousal sweep over her, which took her completely by surprise.

“I feel like I’ve been talking about my day for a long time.”

He smiled. “The good news is, I like to hear it.”

“Why?” she asked, tilting her head to the side.

“What?”

“Why do you like hearing about my day? I’m always a little surprised to see you, waiting for me, helping me.”

“Can’t a friend help you out?” he asked.

Had he gotten closer? It felt like he had, and they were sharing the same air. What was happening to her? She kept dropping her gaze to his lips. They were mesmerizing.

“Is that what you are?” she asked. “A friend?”

For a long time, she didn’t care about putting a label on it. There was no point. She had no idea what he was doing, but figured he would grow bored and move on. She didn’t want to think of him moving on without her.

This was stupid.

He reached up and placed his hand on the wall above her head. “Tell me if there is anything else I can be?” he asked.

His other hand went to her waist and at his touch, she took a deep breath and felt that edge of panic. This was … different. This was not two friends getting along. This was something more, something uniquely dangerous.

Did she want to change what they had?

The friendship?

Did she want more?

He came in close, and she panicked.

“I’ve never kissed anyone,” she said. Those words just blurted right out of her mouth, and she knew they must have made her sound like an absolute fool.

Hawk didn’t pull back.

“You’ve never been kissed?”

She shook her head. Words were failing her.

“At all?”

“No.” At least that was a word.

He frowned.

“I’ve never had sex.” And there went another little admission she had hoped to keep to herself.

His gaze seemed to darken. She couldn’t figure out what he was thinking. Hawk was a hard man to read, not that it had been easier to read him before this moment. If she could read him, she’d know exactly what was going on in his mind, but she didn’t have a clue.

“Never?”

“No.”

“No man has touched this body? Seen you naked? Fucked you?”

“No,” she said, and she couldn’t help but laugh. She wasn’t even entertained, and now she was a little embarrassed. More than a little embarrassed. She didn’t want to talk about this anymore. She wasn’t quite sure where she got the strength to push him out of her way, but she did so and then spun toward him, feeling a little victorious. She wanted to fist pump the air, but instead she reeled it in. “No, I’ve never had sex with anyone. I get it, my mom is a whore, how can it be possible for me to not have fucked someone? Trust me, there were men that wanted to and didn’t care that I was underage, but hell, no. The guys at school were cruel, and there was no way I was dating. Hell, no.”

She was on a roll and was not going to be steered from her rant. Only, one moment she was standing in her sitting area of the trailer, and Hawk was in the kitchen, a few feet away from her. In the next second, he was right there, his hands cupping her face.

“Shut the fuck up,” he said.

And she didn’t even get to question him, or say, “how dare you.” There was no time for anything.

He cupped her face, tilted her head back, and then his lips were on hers, and she couldn’t think. Hawk was kissing her. His lips were hard, firm, but there was a slight softness to them.

Nikki didn’t have a clue what she was doing, and was pretty much making it up as she went along. The kiss seemed to awaken a part of her.

Hawk sunk one of his hands into her hair, and the other he stroked down toward her hip, cupping her tightly. She couldn’t help but let out a whimper. The pleasure of his touch alone was so intense.

She felt the tip of his tongue as it traced across her lip, and she couldn’t help but gasp. This seemed to be what he wanted, as he plundered her mouth. Another moan escaped her, but the sound was drowned out, completely taken over as he kissed her harder.

All too soon, his cell phone went off, and the kiss came to an end.

New Release: Storm’s Mistake

No Wolves Road

IT’S RELEASE DAY!!!

My first release of 2025 is here …

Will she ever be able to forgive him?

Lisa was never going to forgive him. After falling in love with an Alpha, giving herself to him, and seeing a future with him, Lisa had her heart crushed. He was only using her. She was not a wolf, so she wasn’t good enough to be his mate. Breaking up with him, was the only thing to do.

Shadow wasn’t ready to end things with her. From the moment he first saw the human, he knew he wanted her. What he didn’t expect was to fall hard and fast. But she’s no wolf. She can never be his mate. Then why can’t be bear the thought of losing her?

His mate was supposed to be another wolf. But Lisa did something to him, and now he cannot stop thinking about her. He has to do something to win her back, to gain back her trust. When he finds out she is pregnant with his child, he knows this is the only chance he is going to get to make things right.

Lisa never intends to forgive Shadow. Being around him, day after day, it gets harder to keep him at arm’s length. And the truth is, does she really want to? What harm is there in forgiving?

He didn’t want to do that. For the past month, he’d been trying to figure out ways of getting Lisa to forgive him. The flowers were a good idea, but according to Pam, the chocolates had ended up at the coffee shop for other people to enjoy. She’d not even charged anyone for the pleasure. All the other material gifts—the jewelry, books, furniture—had been returned.

Shadow didn’t know what to do. He’d even been tempted to pay Beau Alpha a visit to ask him what he did, but he knew the outcome of that union. Beau was now mated to the human, the very first in No Wolves Road.

“Maybe you could be happy for her,” Pam said.

“Happy for her?”

“Yeah, she might meet the man of her dreams tonight. Wouldn’t that be something?”

Shadow growled. He couldn’t handle the thought of her being near any other man. The very thought of it was inconceivable to him. There was no way that could happen. No fucking way at all.

“No!”

Pam stared at him. “Are you serious? Do you expect an amazing woman like Lisa Bennett to not find a man of her own? What about when you find a mate or settle down? Will it be acceptable to you then?”

Shadow glared at her.

“Wow, you know what, I didn’t peg you as a selfish bastard, but you are really getting there right now.”

“I am not a selfish bastard,” he said.

“Yeah, you are. What is worse, you don’t even see it. You don’t want to take Lisa for forever, but you don’t want her to be with anyone else. You’re a selfish bastard, and maybe one day you will even begin to see the error of what you’re doing right now.” Pam shook her head. “I’m going to get Lisa, and I’m going to make sure she has a good time.”

There was nothing for Shadow to do or say. He could only watch as Pam left. Putting his hands on his waist, he tapped his foot. It wasn’t any of his business, he knew that. He should just let Lisa go. That would be the right thing to do, but even his wolf wasn’t happy. Neither of them wanted to think of Lisa with another man. Just the very thought of it had him growling low and deep within his throat. His hands clenched, and he felt the skin begin to split as the transition threatened to take control.

He was a grown man. He’d not been at the mercy of his wolf or his emotions in a very long time. At the start of his training to be Alpha, his father had made sure he was in constant control.

Taking some deep breaths, he tried to bring himself back under control, and that felt nearly impossible. But he did so. He was not going to lose control.

Pam was going to take Lisa and her friend out to enjoy a fun night dancing. There was nothing he could do about it. There was also nothing Pam could do to stop him from being there, so he took off, heading toward No Wolves Road Bar.

At the edge of the parking lot, he stopped and looked over toward the bar. The scent of humans and wolves was strong. It was a Friday night, so a lot of people were looking for a partner to spend the weekend with.

Lisa was in there.

Men were in there.

He couldn’t allow anyone to touch his Lisa.

Shadow paused after taking one step toward the bar. What he was doing was selfish, but this was for Lisa’s sake. If she wanted to find a man to cherish her, it wasn’t going to be inside a bar. Nothing good ever came from dating someone in a bar. She deserved to find a man who had similar tastes to herself. Lisa was not a partying woman.

He took one step in front of the other and made his way inside the bar. It didn’t matter how many people were there, he still picked up Lisa’s scent, and he looked in her general direction.

Pam, Lisa, and Adele were at the bar, all three of them in revealing dresses. He didn’t give a shit what Pam and Adele were wearing.

Lisa wore a black dress that plunged at the front, revealing the top part of her breasts. She had worn that dress once before, for him and him alone. He’d been the one to remove it from her body, using his teeth. She’d been begging and moaning, and the scent of her pussy had been heavy in the air. The memory was one of his favorites.

Lisa hadn’t been shy when it came to sex. Although she’d been a virgin, she had trusted him. That first time had been painful for her. The first thrust, that is. The moment he felt her virginity give way to his cock, the temptation to just take her hard and fast had been so strong. Even now, Shadow didn’t know how he’d been able to stop himself.

He’d held himself balls-deep inside her and waited until she was ready. Only then had he made love to her. He hadn’t even fucked her but took all night to make up for the brief pain he caused her. He had forgotten until this very moment that he’d hated hurting her and had never wanted to do it again. That night, holding her while she slept in his arms, he had vowed he would never hurt her again.

I fucked that one up.

With Lisa, he messed everything up and had no idea how to make it better.

Age Gap Bad Boy Crime Evil fallen Bratva MC M.C

Road’s Betrayal

Will she ever be able to forgive him?

Road doesn’t trust anyone. He knows how quickly women can turn, and he knows Dinah has been sent by Sergey Golubev. Every time he looks in the mirror, he’s reminded of the scars left by Golubev’s handywork.

From the moment Dinah Evans walked into the Evil Fallen Bratva MC clubhouse, she knew she had made a mistake. She does not work for Sergey, but she knows who he is. Several years ago, her mother rejected the man, and as punishment, she paid the price. She knows she should stay away from Road. But, every time he comes calling, she doesn’t turn him away. There is more to Road than meets the eye.

Dinah is the first woman that doesn’t flinch away from him. She’s not repulsed by his scars, and Road loves being around her. But, she doesn’t know the truth. It’s only a matter of time before it comes out. All of those years ago, he was the one who made the order on her mother. He was doing his job, and now, he has to keep that from her.

Golubev is closing in. He’s dangerous, and Road has to make a choice, one that could change their lives forever.

“I’ve got a job to do, and a kid, he or she, doesn’t need to grow up with a father on a mission to make this world safer.”

There was silence and he watched her as she lifted her head and looked at him.

“You’re talking about Sergey Golubev,” she said.

“Yes.”

“You plan to kill him?”

“Yes.”

“You’re not even worried that I’ll go to the police?”

He laughed. “You’ve had many chances to go to the police in the last few weeks, and not once have you, because I do believe you said they are not to be trusted, so, no, I don’t believe you will.”

“Isn’t this some kind of bad thing?” she asked. “Won’t your club be angry at you for telling me?”

“No, because I have a feeling you’ve got the same vendetta I do,” he said.

“Yeah, but I guess the only difference between us is that you can do something about yours?” She tilted her head to the side and raised both of her brows.

“I’m getting there.” Road wasn’t happy with the lack of progress they were making. He knew Nikki, Golubev’s eldest son, had been in touch with Brute, and asked them to back off for the time being. He didn’t like it.

Now was the time to strike at Golubev. If they allowed him to get stronger, he’d come after the club and they would be royally fucked. However, with Brute now dealing with a wife and having a kid on the way in a matter of weeks, he’d changed.

He knew Brute would still make decisions for the club that would keep them all alive, but Road wanted action. He wanted his revenge.

Damn it, he wanted to see the Golubev fucking burn and that included the likes of Nikki. He didn’t know when the bastard had decided to start working against his father, but he’d made some decisions that would cost any man his soul.

Road had, and glancing over at Dinah, he knew there was one he’d already made that was coming back to bite him in the ass.

“We’re getting off subject here. Have you ever been kissed by a guy?” he asked, trying to stay focused on Dinah and her virginal state.

She pursed her lips. “You already know the answer to that question.”

“No?”

When she rolled her eyes that way, he loved it. She looked so adorable, and inpatient, and he wanted to keep irritating her just to see it.

“No, there. I’ve not been kissed by a guy. Wow, Road, you are so obsessed with this.”

“Do you want to be?” he asked.

She took a deep breath. “What? Do you think I should just go up to some random guy, grab him and kiss him?” She giggled.

“No, but you could kiss me.” He didn’t like the feelings that evoked in him from her suggestion. There was no way any other guy was going to touch her. He wouldn’t allow it, and that felt odd for Road.

He’d used women in the past—a lot of them—and he didn’t care what that meant. Women had been a commodity, an easy way to gain information, and now as he looked at Dinah, he saw something different. Her plump red lips looked so inviting, and knowing no other man had touched them, well, it turned him on. Dinah was new to everything, and for the first time in awhile, Road felt an addiction.

“Nah, I can’t kiss you.” She got to her feet, picked up her plate, and walked into the kitchen.

He followed her through.

“Why?” he asked.

“Because … you’re my friend and friends don’t go around experimenting on each other.” She frowned.

“Is it because of my scars?” he asked. “Is that why?”

She spun around, put her plates on the counter, and then gave him her full attention. “Are you being real right now? Are you seriously asking me that?”

“I’m just … I’m curious is all. That is all.” He held his hands up. “Aren’t you?”

“About kissing?”

“Yes.”

She sighed. “I guess I have been, but what you’re suggesting is not right.”

“Why not?” he asked. “I’m a willing volunteer.”

“You’re more than happy for me to use you as practice for kissing?”

“Go ahead, kiss me. See if you even like it.”
