New Release: The Hunt

I’ve got a brand new release.

The Hunt is now LIVE!!!

This is a completely standalone story.

This couldn’t be happening. Calliope Masters knew she and Jaxson Crease didn’t have the best start to their mating. At the age of eighteen when the pack declared they were mates, they rejected one another. She was a human, he was a wolf. He made it abundantly clear that he didn’t want her.

They were now trapped within The Hunt. A mystery realm that forced mates to confront their need for one another head on. Jaxson didn’t go to the Elder. He knew Calliope was his mate, and the truth was, he wanted her. When they were kids, they were inseparable. His own fear was what pushed them apart. He didn’t care that she was human. He had loved Calliope all of his life.

Now, within the rules of The Hunt, they had to fight to survive. They were about to face obstacles and challenges neither of them ever anticipated. Pushed to the breaking point.

Only there is something interesting about The Hunt. It is not the same for all couples. It changes as if it has a life of its own. And there is something so very similar about this one. But what could it be?

Will Jaxson and Calliope find one another and come to terms with their mated connection? Or, will they give up, and never see their pack or life again? The only way to get out of The Hunt is to be mated.

“Hey, hey, it’s fine,” he said, reaching for her. Jaxson tried to steady her on her feet.

“It’s fine,” she said, looking far from fine.

And then, he cupped her face, staring into her eyes. They were slightly glazed. Her forehead was covered in perspiration. They were not ready for this, but he also couldn’t handle her being passed out from heat exhaustion, not that he would have a problem carrying her.

This could either go really well, or really bad, and without question, he closed the distance between them and kissed her. At first, it was just the meeting of their lips, joined together, and then that changed. The kiss deepened.

His hands were at her shoulders, hoping to steady her, and then, as if by their own accord, he sunk one into her hair, holding the back of her head. The other went down toward her hip, and he pulled her in closer. He heard her soft, subtle moan, and he swallowed it down, not wanting to stop. Calliope didn’t push him away, but the more he kissed her, the more he felt the temperature inside the place start to cool off.

Time passed and he didn’t want to pull away, but he had a feeling he needed to. Kissing her one final time, he looked into her face and stopped the kiss. He didn’t stop holding her. He needed to have his hands on her body.

Slowly, she opened her eyes.

“Thank you,” Calliope said.

“If it gets hotter, I’ll keep kissing you.”

She laughed. “Do you think that is why they made it so hot?”

“I don’t know. How are you feeling?”

“Sticky. Like I need a bath.”

And then, as if by magic, they heard it. Calliope frowned, Jaxson took hold of her hand, and they moved around the corner. There was a waterfall, but from where they stood, it did not look too deep.

“You’ve got to be kidding.”

“I guess they work hard to make it as romantic as can be,” he said.

“It looks so good,” Calliope said. “Do you think we should take advantage?”

“Yeah, I do.” He let go of her hand and pushed his jeans right off his body. He kept his boxer briefs on and started to make his way toward the edge of the water.

Before he went any further, he looked back to find Calliope removing her jeans and vest top. The last time they had been this naked, they had been kids. That seemed like a lifetime ago, and maybe part of an alternate universe. It didn’t seem like it was them.

He watched her, unable to look away. Not wanting to look anywhere else but at her. She wore a padded bra and panties.

“You look nice,” he said. The words just kind of blurted out of his mouth. She looked up and then smiled.

“You don’t have to just say it.”

“I’m not just saying it, I mean it.” Now he felt embarrassed. “Uh, so, yeah, that’s what I was thinking.” And then, with her getting closer to him, he stepped beneath the spray of the waterfall. It didn’t take her long to join him.

She was so close and he could smell her. Calliope always smelled like vanilla to him, which was one of his favorite scents. He loved vanilla—vanilla cupcakes, vanilla frosting, vanilla ice cream. If it had vanilla, he was sold.

He couldn’t help but be drawn to her. She looked so beautiful.

Jaxson watched as she tilted her head back and enjoyed the spray of the water. She let out a moan, and this was different from the one he heard a few short moments ago.

Her lips had been perfect. Kissing her was better than he ever imagined it would be. Every single part of her was perfection.

She opened her eyes, looked over at him, and smiled. “You’re watching me.”

“I can’t look away.”

This made her chuckle. She stepped toward him. “And why not?”

“I have no idea.” He took a step toward her, and Calliope tilted her head back. “But I want to kiss you again.”

He watched as she licked her lips, and it wasn’t fair to keep teasing him.

“Then kiss me,” she said.

New Release: Storm’s Mistake

No Wolves Road

IT’S RELEASE DAY!!!

My first release of 2025 is here …

Will she ever be able to forgive him?

Lisa was never going to forgive him. After falling in love with an Alpha, giving herself to him, and seeing a future with him, Lisa had her heart crushed. He was only using her. She was not a wolf, so she wasn’t good enough to be his mate. Breaking up with him, was the only thing to do.

Shadow wasn’t ready to end things with her. From the moment he first saw the human, he knew he wanted her. What he didn’t expect was to fall hard and fast. But she’s no wolf. She can never be his mate. Then why can’t be bear the thought of losing her?

His mate was supposed to be another wolf. But Lisa did something to him, and now he cannot stop thinking about her. He has to do something to win her back, to gain back her trust. When he finds out she is pregnant with his child, he knows this is the only chance he is going to get to make things right.

Lisa never intends to forgive Shadow. Being around him, day after day, it gets harder to keep him at arm’s length. And the truth is, does she really want to? What harm is there in forgiving?

He didn’t want to do that. For the past month, he’d been trying to figure out ways of getting Lisa to forgive him. The flowers were a good idea, but according to Pam, the chocolates had ended up at the coffee shop for other people to enjoy. She’d not even charged anyone for the pleasure. All the other material gifts—the jewelry, books, furniture—had been returned.

Shadow didn’t know what to do. He’d even been tempted to pay Beau Alpha a visit to ask him what he did, but he knew the outcome of that union. Beau was now mated to the human, the very first in No Wolves Road.

“Maybe you could be happy for her,” Pam said.

“Happy for her?”

“Yeah, she might meet the man of her dreams tonight. Wouldn’t that be something?”

Shadow growled. He couldn’t handle the thought of her being near any other man. The very thought of it was inconceivable to him. There was no way that could happen. No fucking way at all.

“No!”

Pam stared at him. “Are you serious? Do you expect an amazing woman like Lisa Bennett to not find a man of her own? What about when you find a mate or settle down? Will it be acceptable to you then?”

Shadow glared at her.

“Wow, you know what, I didn’t peg you as a selfish bastard, but you are really getting there right now.”

“I am not a selfish bastard,” he said.

“Yeah, you are. What is worse, you don’t even see it. You don’t want to take Lisa for forever, but you don’t want her to be with anyone else. You’re a selfish bastard, and maybe one day you will even begin to see the error of what you’re doing right now.” Pam shook her head. “I’m going to get Lisa, and I’m going to make sure she has a good time.”

There was nothing for Shadow to do or say. He could only watch as Pam left. Putting his hands on his waist, he tapped his foot. It wasn’t any of his business, he knew that. He should just let Lisa go. That would be the right thing to do, but even his wolf wasn’t happy. Neither of them wanted to think of Lisa with another man. Just the very thought of it had him growling low and deep within his throat. His hands clenched, and he felt the skin begin to split as the transition threatened to take control.

He was a grown man. He’d not been at the mercy of his wolf or his emotions in a very long time. At the start of his training to be Alpha, his father had made sure he was in constant control.

Taking some deep breaths, he tried to bring himself back under control, and that felt nearly impossible. But he did so. He was not going to lose control.

Pam was going to take Lisa and her friend out to enjoy a fun night dancing. There was nothing he could do about it. There was also nothing Pam could do to stop him from being there, so he took off, heading toward No Wolves Road Bar.

At the edge of the parking lot, he stopped and looked over toward the bar. The scent of humans and wolves was strong. It was a Friday night, so a lot of people were looking for a partner to spend the weekend with.

Lisa was in there.

Men were in there.

He couldn’t allow anyone to touch his Lisa.

Shadow paused after taking one step toward the bar. What he was doing was selfish, but this was for Lisa’s sake. If she wanted to find a man to cherish her, it wasn’t going to be inside a bar. Nothing good ever came from dating someone in a bar. She deserved to find a man who had similar tastes to herself. Lisa was not a partying woman.

He took one step in front of the other and made his way inside the bar. It didn’t matter how many people were there, he still picked up Lisa’s scent, and he looked in her general direction.

Pam, Lisa, and Adele were at the bar, all three of them in revealing dresses. He didn’t give a shit what Pam and Adele were wearing.

Lisa wore a black dress that plunged at the front, revealing the top part of her breasts. She had worn that dress once before, for him and him alone. He’d been the one to remove it from her body, using his teeth. She’d been begging and moaning, and the scent of her pussy had been heavy in the air. The memory was one of his favorites.

Lisa hadn’t been shy when it came to sex. Although she’d been a virgin, she had trusted him. That first time had been painful for her. The first thrust, that is. The moment he felt her virginity give way to his cock, the temptation to just take her hard and fast had been so strong. Even now, Shadow didn’t know how he’d been able to stop himself.

He’d held himself balls-deep inside her and waited until she was ready. Only then had he made love to her. He hadn’t even fucked her but took all night to make up for the brief pain he caused her. He had forgotten until this very moment that he’d hated hurting her and had never wanted to do it again. That night, holding her while she slept in his arms, he had vowed he would never hurt her again.

I fucked that one up.

With Lisa, he messed everything up and had no idea how to make it better.

Alpha’s Rejected Mate

Alpha shifter collection 22

On the night of her transition, Harper Shen is cruelly rejected and banished by her alpha, by her mate. Mateo Fox doesn’t want her, and he no longer wants her in his pack. For seven years, Harper has had no choice but to live with that rejection. She is part of a new pack now, and she has finally made a life for herself, and she is trying to forget the man who ruined her life.

Mateo was not going to mate with a young girl. Harper was too innocent and the pack would have eaten her alive. For the last seven years, he’d been visiting her new pack without her knowing, just so he could be closer, inhale her scent, and allow his wolf to know some semblance of peace.

This visit is different. On the way to Harper’s new pack, he picks up a scent and follows it to a human bar. That’s where he sees his mate for the first time in seven years. The smell of her, the beauty—she is not the young girl he rejected, but a woman.

Harper will not forgive. She will not give in to Mateo. He broke her heart, crushed her spirit, and now she has finally been able to make a life for herself. But she may not have a choice. The full moon is approaching and this is the first time she will be close to her real mate, and she has no idea what their wolves are going to do. She doesn’t know if she is going to be able to stop it.

Will she give into the mating? Will Mateo finally win her trust? Or are they doomed to fail?

As part of his agreement with the pack who’d accepted his mate, Mateo had to do annual visits where he met with the alpha, they talked, and he found out exactly how Harper was doing. No one knew about the visits, not even Harper’s parents.

When he’d banished her, he knew it had been the right thing to do. Slowly, he had felt his wolf start to go crazy, and not only that, he had felt different about abandoning her. He’d talked with the alpha, and it was time for his annual visit when he got an update, and got to even inhale some of Harper’s clothing, to help the beast within him from breaking loose.

He’d gotten her scent on the way over.

The two men at his side, his closest allies, knew what he had to do and why he had to do it. Peter and Damon came to keep him from doing anything stupid. Harper was too damn young to be an alpha’s mate. He couldn’t put her at that kind of risk. Not now, not ever.

She wasn’t old enough or strong enough to deal with pack politics, and some of the females would hurt her. He had no choice but to protect her because she couldn’t look weak. He knew it had been a long time since a pack female was replaced by another stronger female, but he couldn’t allow anyone to go through with that.

Staring across the bar, he saw her, well, he saw the back of her head. She was standing with another woman, blonde, who within seconds led her onto the dance floor, and all too soon she was surrounded by other men and women.

There were a couple of men who’d gotten close to her. He felt the wolf within him start to rise, and it was Peter who grabbed his arm.

“We’re in human territory. You don’t want to run the risk of starting up some horrible rumors, Alpha,” Peter said.

“And we’re already gaining too much attention. We must leave.”

He couldn’t leave the bar, not without talking to Harper. Damn it, even though the scent of alcohol, sweat, sex, and plenty of other human aromas filled his senses, he could still smell Harper.

She was there, and it smelled warm, like cinnamon and apple, but stronger, with a touch of vanilla thrown into the mix. The only problem was, he smelled other men, and his wolf couldn’t handle it.

Breaking out of Peter’s hold, he moved through the crowd. The humans, clearly seeing a man on a mission, stepped out of his way. He broke through the crowd and finally got to look at Harper. The last seven years had aged her well. She no longer looked like a schoolgirl, and he wasn’t happy.

“Hey!” the woman with her gawked at him as he reached for Harper. No one made a move to stop him as he all but dragged her out of the bar.

At first, Harper didn’t react, but it was like she woke up from whatever trance was holding her, and as soon as they were out of sight of the humans, she began to attack. She dug her heels in and jerked her arm.

“Let go of me!” Harper’s strength surprised him, and he had no choice but to let her go or risk hurting her, which was the last thing he wanted to do.

He looked at her and watched as she pushed some hair off her face. Seconds later, the woman she was with, along with the rest of the pack, stood several feet away, but he knew they’d come to protect her.

“Leave,” Harper said.

“You’re not supposed to be here. None of you are,” Mateo said.

Peter and Damon were at his back, and he knew they’d react if he needed them to.

Harper chuckled. “You’re not their alpha. They don’t have to follow your orders.”

He took a step toward her. “I’m your alpha.”

Silence.

Harper glared at him, and then she took one step, followed by another until she stood almost toe-to-toe with him. “Guess again. You banished me, Mateo. You’re not my alpha. I don’t answer to you.”

He grabbed her arms, pulling her in close. He felt such urgency to press his face against her neck, to breathe her in, but he held himself back. His wolf just wanted to throw her to the ground and claim her right there and then, but he kept control. Like always, control was something he knew.

“You’re my mate.”

“No, I’m not. I’m your rejected mate. I’m not yours and I’m never going to be yours.”

Nasty Alpha

No Wolves Road

Will he be able to fix what he has broken?

Blurb

No Wolves Road, 1

No Wolves Road is a human town constantly visited by different pack wolves. There is one rule—no conflict in town. For Eloise Richards, she refuses to become another notch on any wolf’s bedpost. She noticed how the wolves, men and women, come and use them. None of them want a human mate.

Beau only intended to help the young woman who didn’t like to be flirted with. Now he can’t get her out of his mind, and she seems to be everywhere he turns.

She has no intention of falling for the wolf with the reputation for being a nasty alpha, but one kiss, and all bets are off.

Beau knows he’s messed up when he discovers she’s a virgin. What was meant to be a quick fling, soon turns into much more.

Eloise doesn’t expect him to take the news of her pregnancy well, but when he accuses her of being with someone else, that hurts more than anything. She will never forgive him.

He messed up and this time, it might just cost him his woman and child. Beau knows he’s got to do something to make it right. But what can he do. Eloise won’t talk to him. She doesn’t want anything to do with him. How can he fix this?

Another full moon was coming soon and Beau knew he should stick to his ranch and not go anywhere near No Wolves Road. Nor should he follow the lemony scent he’d become so addicted to. But he just couldn’t help himself. It was like he was drawn to her scent.

His wolf certainly didn’t have a problem following her. It had been a couple of weeks since he’d taken that kiss. Every Monday, he’d been sure to be as far away from the kitchen as possible. He expected Rose to tell him that something happened and Eloise was no longer cooking for them. Food kept appearing and the meals were delicious.

In a strange way, Eloise had helped his pack as there was now no arguing around the dinner table about how much the food sucked. There was no competition between his men and women about who had the best food. This he did prefer.

That still didn’t give him the right to be at her house, in her backyard, and watching Eloise as she stood staring up at the night.

His wolf was long exhausted and for Beau, he was able to transform.

“You shouldn’t be here,” Eloise said.

He was in the shadows but her gaze was right on him.

“And you shouldn’t be out in the yard.”

“It’s a quiet night,” she said. “The stars are beautiful, and it’s getting cold. It won’t be long now before the first snowfall.”

She looked even more beautiful than he remembered. The smile on her lips was a temptation he just couldn’t deny himself.

He stepped out of the shadows and seeing as it was a full moon, he didn’t have a single item of clothing on.

“You’re naked,” she said.

“It’s the full moon.”

“And you’re not going to cover yourself up?”

“No.” He, like all other wolves, didn’t have a problem with nakedness. They were not like humans, who needed to stay modest.

Closing the distance between them, he stood in front of her, and Eloise tilted her head back, looking at him.

Neither of them spoke for several minutes. Words failed him.

Her blonde hair fell around her in waves and curls. At the same time, her eyes seemed to shine brighter, almost a deeper blue than he’d ever seen. She wore a sleeveless t-shirt top and shorts, but she had a wrap around her body.

“Your mom will be worried about you,” he said, looking toward the house.

“My mom and sister are not there. I’m alone.”

“You shouldn’t have said that.” He just couldn’t resist and reaching for her, he gripped the back of her neck, not too tightly, but just enough to draw her closer to him, and then he pressed his lips to hers. It was what he’d been missing these past few weeks. The feel of her lips on his.

He expected Eloise to push him away, to not want his kisses, but she accepted them, moaning his name, and as she did, he knew he couldn’t say no. Not to her kisses, not to this woman. He needed her, more than he needed to breathe.

Letting go of her neck, he ran his hands down her body, gripping her ass, and then, without any struggle at all, he lifted her up.

The Alpha’s Daughter

Blurb

Karina is not like any of the wolves within her pack. She’s a human. The only human to be born of two wolves.

When her father invites another alpha to take his pick of willing, single, consenting females, Karina has no choice but to be in the lineup. She is pack, she is single, and she knows she is not going to get picked. She is human, and any alpha would be looking for a wolf.

Rage has no desire to take a woman from Westblood’s pack. He doesn’t need a woman to make an alliance against the rogue wolves that are deadly to all wolves. One scent of Karina, and all sense is lost. She is his mate. He doesn’t care that she’s human, all he knows, is that he belongs with her.

Karina doesn’t feel anything for Rage. Even though he claims to be her mate, she doesn’t sense a thing. She has no wolf senses. She is weak. But slowly, little by little, she cannot help but be drawn to the new alpha. He doesn’t treat her with kid gloves. He shows her his wolf, and he is willing to explore with her.

Rage has already figured out why Karina is human. He doesn’t care. She is his love and his soul mate, and he will never let her go.

Excerpt:

Rage burst out laughing.

She loved the sound.

“I can’t open jars either, which my brothers and Rose find amusing. Dad had to buy me a tool because it’s so bad. Everyone else, pop, and the lid is off.” She mimicked opening a jar for everyone else. “Not me, I look awful, red face, gritted teeth, the works.”

“Do you wish you were a wolf?” he asked.

“Sometimes. I think it might be a little easier for my parents, for the whole pack. No one says anything, but I am the odd one. The outsider. When they go out hunting, I stay home. It gets kind of lonely.”

“They don’t allow you to go out in the full moon?”

“No. They don’t want me to get hurt.”

“You’re pack. Even in wolf form, they’d be able to scent you. I can tell you’re a Westblood, by scent alone.”

She chuckled. “Yay, that can be my superpower. I smell real bad.”

“I didn’t say you smelled real bad.”

Karina laughed. “Please don’t worry about it. At least I know I smell of pack. That is kind of nice.”

“How about at the next full moon, you and I go out?”

“Together?”

“Yes, I’ll take you into the forest.”

“And have your wicked way with me?” she asked, kind of kidding. Was she kidding? She didn’t know if she was or not.

“If you’d like me to.”

Karina looked into Rage’s eyes, and there was something, a gleam, or a hint, a promise.

“Yeah, I don’t think my dad would allow us to do that. He didn’t want us to come here, so I don’t think that’s going to happen.” She wanted to break this … feeling. She had no idea what it was, but it was sweeping over her whole body. Her nipples felt tight and hard.

“You’re my mate, Karina. Your dad can try, but I won’t let him come between us. If you want to spend time with me at the next full moon, then say the words and I’ll make it happen.”

Could she do that? What if it angered her father? But the truth was, she was so curious about what it would mean to be in the moonlight with Rage.

In her mind, she imagined him naked. All the pack ended up naked after their initial change. Most of them abandoned their clothes. For days afterward, Karina often gathered up the clothes and placed them in a large box in the town square for others to come and claim. After twenty-four hours, the box was empty.

“I’d like that.”

“Then consider it done,” Rage said.

Her heart raced and she felt a tightness in her gut. This wasn’t fear, though, but anticipation.

They finished their meal, which was amazing. She loved every forkful, and the pudding was just as delicious. She didn’t think she’d love such dark chocolate, but it was glorious. Everything was amazing.

Rage drove them home, and she was aware of the curtains twitching once again. He got out of the car and walked her up to the main door.

There was no way for anyone to be sneaking looks at them, unless they were behind the main door.

“I had a wonderful time tonight.”

“I did as well,” he said. He reached out, tucking some of her hair behind her ear, and then gripped the back of her neck, pulling her in close. “Do you have any idea how hard it is for me to control myself when I’m around you?”

“You’re having to control yourself?” Karina asked.

He pressed his face against hers. She felt him inhale. “Around you, always.”

“Rage?”

“I want to kiss you.”

She had never been kissed before like this, apart from that other kiss they had shared, but that didn’t count because he’d done it to silence her.

“Tell me to stop.”

“I can’t. I don’t want to.”

He gripped the back of her neck, pulled her in close, and then pressed his lips against hers. At first, the kiss seemed a little strange, but then it changed. Karina pressed her hands against his chest and slowly slid them up, wrapping them around his neck.

Rage sunk his fingers into her hair, deepening the kiss.

All thought left Karina. All she knew was that she wanted Rage and she didn’t want this kiss to end.

Age Gap Disaster of the other world New Release Paranormal Romance Sam Crescent Shifter

Layla’s Choice

Disaster of the Other World 2

Blurb

Layla is a human.

In the Northern Forest Pack, humans are tolerated, but not exactly … loved. After her best friend is mated to the alpha, Layla doesn’t know where her place is anymore. She is aware the pack is in a lot of danger, certainly her best friend. Disaster of the Otherworld is a cult intent on destroying everyone and everything for power. She does have one little secret. Every night, she goes out to find him.

Alexander knows he shouldn’t be tempted by the little human. He is a very old vampire and he doesn’t know what it is about the young woman, but he can’t seem to get enough of her. He has extended his stay at the pack to help protect it. The cult is a danger to them all, and he is willing to offer his services to help destroy them.

Disaster of the Otherworld is after something important. The moment they harvest it, they can finally take complete power. There is only one problem—they don’t know who holds the power.

In the Northern Forest Pack there is a secret. One that has been kept for over twenty-one years. Layla is not all what she seems. Her true parents made the ultimate sacrifice to keep her safe. She is special. Will it be too late to save her?

Excerpt:

Alexander didn’t like that this Lewis had annoyed her enough to make her shake. He saw it in her hands, and he quickly moved toward her and pulled her into his arms. If she wanted him to stop, all she had to do was say the words.

Layla surprised him even more by wrapping her arms around him, and then pressing her face against his chest.

“Tell me if you want me to stop,” she said.

He chuckled. “I believe that is supposed to be my line seeing as I’m the one hugging you, my sweet.”

“I don’t mind.” She nuzzled her face against his chest and he was pretty sure she breathed him in. “You smell good.”

This did make him laugh.

“I’m pleased you think so.”

Layla sighed and then pulled her head back. “Do you think we could go for a walk? Or something?”

He had a feeling she needed to keep moving.

“Yes.” He held out his hand and expected her to decline, but this little human surprised him by sliding her hand within his own.

She was just full of surprises tonight.

Tightening his grip around her hand, they walked down the path. Alexander had explored the Northern Forest Pack’s land. They were not too far from a lake that was close to the edge. Humans frequented the spot as it was beautiful, but it was also far enough away from Grace Hill.

He didn’t think he could take Layla there tonight and with the threat of the Disaster of the Otherworld, he wasn’t interested in putting her life in danger. So, walking around the forest, enjoying her company would have to do.

“So, er, you know it’s close to the full moon,” she said.

“Yes.” Charles had reminded him once again that they were going to have to stay indoors during that night.

He wasn’t interested in spending the night with the man who was a constant bore. All Charles wanted to do was kidnap Crazy Lizzie and that would never be on his agenda. He liked the strange little witch. After everything she had been through, he’d seen her ability to smile and maybe it was strange to think about, but the woman gave him hope. Even during times of war and great despair, Crazy Lizzie always came out smiling, thriving. There were also rumors that when she was being tortured, she laughed at her tormentors, even mocked them, but again, they were just rumors.

“How will you spend the full moon?” she asked.

“By staring outside and wondering how you’re doing.”

“You’ll be thinking about me?”

“Of course. I do spend a lot of my day curious about what you’re doing.”

This made Layla stop and he followed suit, looking at her.

“I had no idea you thought about me.”

Alexander knew this was dangerous. As a vampire, he was considered intoxicating to humans, and he could play on that to get anything he wanted. When it came to Layla, he’d not used any kind of enthrallment. For one, he’d promised Brandon he wouldn’t harm anyone in his pack, and he stuck by his word. Second, he hadn’t used his enthrallment in close to a century. Once you realized people were only around you because you forced them, it long lost its charm, and that was what happened to him.

Everything Layla was feeling, was what she felt. Nothing else.

“How could I not think about you?” he asked. “You’re an incredibly beautiful woman.”

He saw the way her cheeks heated. His words had embarrassed her a little. No, not embarrassed, he’d made her blush. It had been a long time since he’d made a woman blush, without intention.

“I’m not.”

She shook her head.

He closed that distance between them and without thinking, he brushed aside her long hair. Tonight, she’d kept it down, and he thought it looked even more stunning than ever. Staring into her eyes, a strange feeling came over him. It was like he was looking into the eyes of an old soul. Someone who’d been around for almost as long as him. That couldn’t be. This woman was very much a human.

He remembered over the years, people saying similar words, how people had been on the earth before. Alexander had no real concept of whether there was a chance for people to come back or have multiple lives.

“I’m going to kiss you,” he said.

So I have good news for the fans of my, Disaster of the Otherworld books, I’m currently writing book two, and yes, I am loving it. There are a lot of twists and turns, that fingers crossed I hope you like.

Cruel Mate

Alpha shifter collection

Blurb:

Ashley is riding high after finally becoming a member of the pack. On that fateful night, the best and worst things happen to her. Not only does she turn into a wolf, but she finds her mate. None other than the pack’s nomad alpha, Phoenix. He doesn’t want her as his mate.

All he’s ever needed was his bike and the freedom of the open road—until Ashley. Phoenix knows he’s made a mistake by rejecting Ashley. Nothing else matters to him. Each time he visits the pack he hopes to see her, but she’s perfected the art of avoiding him—until he decides to stay.

Ashley wants to stay mad at Phoenix to protect herself, but with every passing day she learns more about their aloof alpha. She wants to give herself to him completely, but will she be risking more than her body?

He left once. He rejected her once. He’d been cruel. Is there any chance that he’s really changed

Excerpt:

Ben and Leah were already upset with Ashley’s decision to leave. They had voiced their concerns and their lack of support. They didn’t want her to leave, certainly not the pack.

No one would understand why she had to leave. It hurt. There was nothing but pain every single day she was with the pack. She had lived with that pain, hoping it would get better, hoping she’d stop thinking about Phoenix, or that she’d at least find someone to move on. But there was no way she could do that to Daniel, even though he offered himself all the time, which made her sad. He deserved someone better than her, someone who was going to love him for him.

“Is that what this is about? You want to punish your parents and your boss because of me?” Phoenix asked.

She snorted. “Get over yourself.” She grabbed her bag and started walking away, heading toward home.

Ashley didn’t get very far, as she wasn’t just stopped but thrown over Phoenix’s shoulder and carried none too gently away from the town. They entered the forest and when they were far enough away, she slapped his back.

“Put me down. I have no idea what you’re doing or why, but you put me down now!” She growled.

Anger worked its way up until she couldn’t control herself anymore and she bit him, on the ass. He was so infuriating.

“Ow!” He came to a stop near his home, where he lowered her to the ground.

Ashley wasn’t able to catch her balance and she ended up on her ass. “What the hell are you doing?”

“Don’t you see?” he asked.

“See what?” she asked, getting to her feet.

He spun her around, wrapped his arms around her body, and made her look across the forest at his home.

She noticed the leaves had been gathered up and made it look … neat. Ashley had always loved the old alpha’s house, not that she’d ever been invited or visited him while he’d been alive. While her parents were busy, she would wander the woods on her own and explore the outside of his home, which she loved. Even now, the house was beautiful. Set back as some kind of villainous fairy tale’s home, she found it had a certain charm about it.

“I’m not going anywhere. I’m here to stay.”

She shook her head. “I don’t care.”

“Damn it, Ashley, what will it take?”

She shoved his hands away and spun around to face him. “Everything. Don’t you get that? You think because you’re sticking around this time and showing me a small bit of kindness, you expect me to what, lay down, show you my belly, and thank you for even giving me the tiniest shred of attention?”

He went to open his mouth but she held her finger up to stop him.

“Don’t even think of answering that with a smart-ass answer. I get it. You think … ugh, you think this is easy for me. Do you have any idea what it’s been like these past five years?”

She hated how her voiced wavered. She wasn’t going to cry. She refused to allow those tears to fall. It wasn’t fucking fair. He was so strong. He’d left town, multiple times. He’d gotten on his bike and ridden off into the sunset like it was nothing. All the time she had to focus on his cutting words of rejection. She had to live with being the first woman and wolf to have been rejected.

“Do you know you ruined one of the best days of my life? I was riding high from my transition. Not only had I graduated high school, I’d gotten through my transition. I was a wolf, finally. I had my place in the pack. The beer tasted rancid, but from everything that happened, I felt sick.”

“A wolf’s first time is hard,” Phoenix said.

“So I left. I … I think I felt you before you were cruel to me. Before you said what you did. Before you rejected me. I felt you, and then, what were you going to do?” she asked. “Strangle me? Get rid of the evidence that you had a fucking fat mate?”

Phoenix frowned. “What are you talking about?”

“Don’t do that,” she said.

“I’m not doing anything. I never once told you, you were fat.”
