New Cover + Mini Update

Hi all,

This is just a quick update. I asked a question on Facebook about which book they wanted next from one of my series and most of the comments responded, Cape Falls. Well I can now say that Moving On (Peter’s Story) has been accepted by Evernight Publishing. This book is going to take a turn and the town will have no choice but to change. The whole book is based on moving on and moving forward. I will post a blurb on the coming soon page soon.

Now coming August 26th (Monday), I know this is quite late but I got the cover today for my next release, Propositioning Her Brother’s Best Friend.

1) First, tell us a little about yourself so the readers know who you are? 

I’m a married mother of five living in northern Canada. I write erotic romance for Siren and Evernight Publishing.

2) What made you decide to write? Was it something you accidentally began? Or what you wanted to do? Or annoying character who refused to leave until their story was told?  

I’ve been writing since I was a pre-teen. It’s always been a creative and emotional outlet for me. It’s a dream come true to be doing what I love for a living.

3) I love hearing about first acceptances as an aspiring writer and now that I am e-published, I still love hearing about them. So tell us about that first acceptance.  

My first acceptance was for Fearless Desires (Immortal Love) from Siren Publishing. It was a joyous day and the beginning of my writing career. My first book/series still holds a very special place in my heart. I hope to continue the third book as soon as I’m able.

4) Tell us about your current release? Where can readers buy it from?

5) What are you currently writing?

I like damaged characters—they are real and complex. When I can become emotionally invested in them, I am able to put more passion into my writing.

7) What experiences have you had working with your publisher/s?

I am very happy writing for Siren and Evernight. My experiences are wonderful.

8) What are you reading now?

Since I’m getting caught up on my writing, I have nothing on my nightside table at the moment. My to-read pile is huge, and I still get a thrill when I look at all the books on my shelf I’ve yet to read.

9) What are your guilty pleasures? 

Reading, writing, animals, Starbucks green tea lattes, chocolate, and vanilla-scented products.

10) What would be your advice, if any, for other aspiring authors? 

Know your game plan and stick with it. Keep writing, improving your skills, and challenging yourself!

Happy September

Hi all,

I can’t believe how fast this year is going by. This has been the best year for me by far. At the time of writing this post I’ve got 48 days until I can become and attempt to succeed in writing full time. I’m excited and nervous at the same time. Being able to write full-time should mean more stories for you guys to read. My muse and I have plenty brewing. Over the years I stored ideas in notebooks and I’m going through them slowly.

The other day I found at least sixteen story ideas that I’d started but not finished. Some of them sounded like they had potential and I’ll be working on them.

As it is September I’m going to try and give you a quick run down of everything I’ve got planned for the remainder of the year.

Taking His Woman (The Sinclair Men 2) is scheduled for release at the end of September.

His Obsession (The Owners 2) is scheduled for release in October.

What I plan to have written and subbed: 

Cade and Tatiana’s Story.

All three of the Unlikely Love Christmas Stories complete in time for December.

Cape Falls book 4.

Book 3 in the Long Mead series.

With all this planned I will keep regular updates of everything.

Monday Update Again

Hi all,

Is it me or does Monday come round way too quickly? Anyway, I could spend a great deal of time thinking about how fast time flies.

At the moment I’m counting down to October 18th as this will be the day at 5.30pm where I can call myself a full-time writer. I’m going to give myself a year to see if I can achieve my dream. Hopefully, fingers crossed, I can make it work. I’ll keep you guys posted on everything that happens.

So, I sent back my contract for His Obsession (The Owners 2) the title could still change but at the moment I think I’m good to say it. It has a projected release date for October. When I know more, I’ll let you know.

I’m working on a couple more stories at the moment. Nothing is really sticking but I can feel the flow picking up.

Also, I’ve got several stories that have been released at third party sites and I’ll post one today and the rest throughout the week.

It’s Monday Again

I can’t believe how quickly time flies by. There is always so much to do with regards to writing. At one time I thought all a writer had to do was write the story and that was it. However, not only do we write the stories but we have to get our stories through editing and give the cover artists the right ideas for what we want on the front cover. It is always so buy and then the promotional side. Put it this way, there is a lot more work to publishing a story. I could talk about writing all day long but it is Monday and so more work needs to be done.

Anyway, I wanted to start by giving plenty of updates throughout the week. I’ve been asked plenty of questions about what stories I’m writing and if I’m completing other series and so on. I’m going to try and keep everything updated from now on.  🙂

What I’m doing now. 

I’m currently writing the second book in, The Owners series. This story is writing itself and I’m hoping to have it submitted by the end of the month with the hope of it being accepted and getting released before the end of the year. After this story I have plenty more series to be getting on with.
