Introducing The Lovely Tamsin Baker

Hello lovely bloggers!

??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????I’m Tamsin Baker and I LOVE to write erotic romance.

I haven’t been in this ‘game’ long. I’ve written and read sexy/sweet romance for years but only found erotic romance about ten months ago. Wow, was my mind blown open. I found a group of erotic Australian writers and it was like coming home, to people who understood what I wanted to talk about! All those taboo, fun topics that no one in my life really wants to venture into.

I’m a Gemini, so tend to get bored easily, thus my inability to stay in one sub-genre of erotic romance for too long. I have contracts in almost every sub-genre you can think of, Menage (all sorts), Shifters, Vampires, Fantasy, BDSM (all pairings), M/M and today I sent off my first F/F BDSM story!

My silly brain loves to try new things and I find that to be the most productive way of writing and never getting writers block.

I’ve attached the blurb and an excerpt of my latest Evernight release. A contemporary, shifter ménage book. It’s the first for my series: ‘Shifters of the Land, Sea and Air.’

It’s my first foray into the shifter world, but have loved it so far! I originally tried to write a M/F/M book, but halfway through Chapter 2 I realized it wasn’t going to stay that way. My boys definitely needed to love one another too, I just couldn’t stop them. I’ll share the excerpt that made me stop writing and rethink my ménage mechanics. I have a deep seated LOVE for m/m, so it tends to work its way into my ménage books. See what you think and let me know.

Excerpt:

Tommy felt every bit of anger and frustration of the past few years boil up inside him. They had been waiting a decade for this big asshole to return from whatever hiatus he had gone on. Now that he was finally back, he was blaming Tommy for not sleeping with Natalia? Tommy’s hands clenched into fists at his side, and without any thought except for the wasted years they had waited, he swung his arm and connected, punching the tiger shifter in the jaw.

He heard a sickening crunch of bone on bone, and his hand throbbed like hell fire, but he continued to glare at the man who was now reeling backwards after Tommy’s blow.

“Me? She’s been waiting for you since she turned sixteen! We both have! Where the fuck have you been?” Tommy panted hard, his heart beating so fast he knew he was going to shift soon. He needed to get clear of the people nearby or he’d hurt someone.

He staggered towards the forest’s edge and pulled off his t-shirt and jeans. Jeremy followed him, his eyes narrowed and nursing his jaw. Fuck my hand hurts!

Tommy felt the heat of the Alpha’s gaze all the way to his throbbing balls, and he shifted, unwilling to deal with Natalia’s predestined mate a moment longer.

Grey fur, four legs, and a tail emerged where his human form used to be. He howled, long and loud. Then he turned his back on his friends and ran.

Dirt beneath his paws, he ducked and weaved through the thick tall trees. He needed to put as much space between him and the tiger as possible.

He couldn’t believe Jeremy was such a dick-head! Drop dead gorgeous, yes, but arrogant and unkind. Who was he to blame Tommy for not claiming Natalia?

He and Natalia had discussed it years ago. She wanted to wait for Jeremy to come home before she decided. Natalia had admitted to Tommy that she wanted both of them as mates, and if Jeremy would agree then she would bind herself to both of them.

But would Jeremy agree to sharing her with him? And what would Jeremy think about Tommy’s unnatural attraction to him?

Tommy ran, anger and confusion beating against him hard. He had a chance of outrunning Jeremy, but he was unable to escape the true despair chasing him.

Sensing movement behind him and not wanting to stop, he pushed himself harder. He knew who was coming.

A deep growl sounded behind him, and he whirled to face the tiger that landed on the dirt in front of him.

He was magnificent. Huge, bright orange and black with razor sharp white teeth.

Tommy snapped his jaws at the man that could be his Alpha and turned, ready to run. He couldn’t stay and fight an animal five times his size. But instead of running away as he wanted to do, he was soon flipped onto his back and pinned to the ground.

Jeremy growled down at him, his silver eyes intense and powerful. Tommy whimpered feeling helpless and unfairly attacked.

Jeremy locked his jaw around Tommy’s neck in the ultimate sign of dominance, and Tommy let go of his wolf, shifting back to human.

Jeremy must have felt the change because he also shifted, and their fur disappeared.

Now Tommy was staring up into the glittering blue eyes of a naked Jeremy, still pinning him to the ground. He was burning hot even against Tommy’s own heated skin, his huge muscles bulging beneath his smooth skin.

Tommy’s cock hardened and lengthened as he attempted to get up but was pinned back down by the man he hoped to share a mate with.

“Let me up.” He grunted and twisted, but Jeremy just held him as though it were no effort at all.

“No, Tommy.”

Tommy arched his back and screamed out, but nothing changed. Jeremy grabbed his wrists and held them tighter. Panic began to swim through him.

“It’s not my fault.” He panted as he thrashed his head from side to side. Tommy was frantic in his arousal now. What would Jeremy think when he felt it? He was fully hard now, so there was no way of hiding it.

Jeremy dropped his head and bit into his neck, the move carnal as well as dominant.

Tommy shuddered and worked to slow his breathing down. Jeremy didn’t lift his head, just whispered into Tommy’s ear.

“I know, and I’m sorry. We’ll find her together.”

Tears formed at the back of Tommy’s eyes, and he blinked them away. There was the man he wanted. Fuck! He wanted to keep on hating Jeremy! It made things so much easier.

New release: The Valentines: Adam

Adam

adam_800

To figure out the present, they need to go back to the past.

Poppy is the only remaining necromancer in the world. She is the one in control of the dead and she has been sent to the Valentines. There is an evil force at work and she must help Adam Valentine to uncover it before it’s too late.

Adam is intrigued by the young necromancer. Her scars do not affect him. He sees the strength inside her and he likes it. All he wants to do is protect her and claim her as his own.

They are on a mission to find out who the real alpha of the Beyer West pack is. But Poppy’s world is about to turn on itself as she needs to make a choice. There is no room for love in the life of a necromancer, yet after centuries of being alone, Adam has filled her life with meaning.

People will die and secrets will be revealed as the balance that protects them is broken. Can their love survive as the world is about to be sent into chaos? This is no longer about the wolves but something much bigger that neither of them can fight.

Excerpt:

“Poppy, wake up.” Someone was touching her arm. No one ever touched her skin. Most beings were repulsed by what she was. Each wound was a testament to the battles she’d fought and won over the centuries.

“Poppy. It’s a bad dream.”

She batted away the irritation that refused to let her sleep. She cried out in shock as firm lips pressed against hers. No one had kissed her before. The contact shocked her more than the touch of the hand on her naked flesh.

Screaming, Poppy lashed out, sending Adam Valentine flying through the air and landing on top of the wardrobe in the room she slept in at the Valentines’ mansion. The wardrobe broke apart where Adam landed.

The man who’d been trying to wake her up groaned and pulled out of his side a chunk of wood that had managed to embed itself just below the ribs.

Poppy winced.

She cursed her own stupidity. Usually when she slept, she kept the door locked and surrounded by charms to keep the dead out. A true necromancer struggled to sleep at the best of times. Ghosts and damaged souls were everywhere the naked eye couldn’t see, but she saw them.

“I’m sorry,” she whispered. She wrapped her cloak, which must have opened during her sleep, back around her. Poppy hated more than anything for Adam to see her scars. He was the first male she had ever desired.

Her scars were gruesome and she did everything in her power to keep them covered when she was around him.

“Shit, Poppy. You were screaming in your fucking sleep.” Blood seeped out of the wound. She saw it was already healing. The magical power of the vampire was a wonderful thing to witness.

“Well, you shouldn’t interrupt a person when they’re asleep.” Her lips were still wet from his small kiss. She wanted to lick her lips to see if she’d taste him on her tongue.

Her heart mourned the loss of connection. The first kiss she’d experienced from a man she liked, and she’d gone and thrown him across the room. At this rate she would never know the true intimate touch of a man. When Adam was around, she found herself longing to know what it would feel like to have him touch her. Intimately touch her. Would his touch be gentle or rough?

“I banged on the door. It wouldn’t open at first and then it was like it opened by itself.”

She watched as he rubbed his head, clearly trying to focus. “I’m sorry.”

“Yeah? Why are you wearing the cloak?”

Poppy held the fabric between her fingers. The cloak provided her with protection from the stares of others and made her feel secure. “It’s my cloak.”

“Is this about the scars again? It’s a fucking ugly cloak. Couldn’t you get one in a lighter colour?”

She tensed. Her scars may not repulse Adam, but he hadn’t seen all of them yet. The cloak was the last thing she held from the time with her family. With how old she was, it would probably be deemed either vintage or scrap material.

“What did you want me for?”

He shook his head and turned towards the mirror. All he would be able to see was a black blur of a reflection. Whenever she entered a room, she made sure the mirrors couldn’t show her true image. She found it freaky when the girl from the other side could be seen staring back at her.

“Did you have a bad dream?” he asked.

She liked the sound of his concern too much. “What did you want me for?”

Adam sighed, moving closer to her. “Poppy, you’re an enigma. You show up all big and powerful, and you don’t share your secrets well.”

His hands rested on her shoulders and it took Poppy a lot of willpower not to react. She struggled between the desire to push him away and the desire to move his hands to cup her breasts. The conflicting emotions inside her were starting to wear her down.

“Just tell me what you want?”

He sighed, let her go and walked towards the door.

“They’re meeting in the study again. I swear I’m starting to live in that fucking room. Join us when you’re ready.”

Poppy nodded and watched him go. They should have left the day after the attack on Katie—over a week ago—but Robert hadn’t allowed it. Robert had decided it was too close after losing Katie and learning the true curse of the wolves. He’d ended up calling off the initial search for the original alpha of the Beyer West pack. In doing so, Poppy had taken up residence—much to the younger brother’s disgust—in the Valentines’ home.

Placing a hand to her chest, Poppy winced. She opened the cloak and the top buttons of the black dress she wore. She waved her arm across the mirror so that her true reflection appeared. Poppy turned away from the image when she first saw herself. Her primary response was revulsion at the vision before her, but she forced herself to turn and look.

The single raised scar from forehead to her chin had come from a dead nymph who had refused to believe she wouldn’t be young and sexy forever. Several small scars that had come from nails dotted her cheeks—some of the people didn’t like the fact that they were dead and would fight the transition from Earth to the realm of death. The scar on her neck had been the result of claw marks from a mightily pissed off werewolf. The ones over her heart—the vulgar criss-cross lines—were the result of her own forced transition. Closing her eyes, she opened a few more buttons of her dress until the whole top part of her breast was visible. The scar looked like a chessboard decorating the skin above her heart. The criss-cross was in the middle of a circle that outlined her heart, followed by a deeper line where they had cut her heart in two.

She placed a finger over the smooth lines and winced. When she pulled it back, a smear of blood was on her finger.

Gasping, she looked in the mirror. Blood was seeping from the wound. Her hand covered the marks and she fought for breath. Poppy wanted to scream, but she could do nothing. She gazed into the mirror and saw the blood rush from her eyes, mouth and nose before, in one swift, harsh move, she was flung to the floor on a roar of absolute agony.

Guest: Maya DeLeina + Giveaway

Hello and welcome Maya DeLeina to my site. She has so graciously agreed to be interviewed.

Before we get started, Maya will be giving away a free e-copy of Blood of Luna, Leave a comment for a chance to win.

So lets begin…

1) First, tell us a little about yourself so the readers know who you are?

I am Erotic Vampire Author Maya DeLeina.

I love anything and everything Vampires. Dark gothic imagery gets my heart pumping. Men with muscular physiques, pale skin and a downright right bad-boy look (not to mention fangs) make me weak in the knees.
And this was a problem for me.

I was born and raised in Hawaii- not quite the right setting to allow myself to delve deep into these dark passions. I lived in perpetual sunshine so having a delicious fantasy of a sexy vampire brushing up against me also came with images of 3rd degree burns.

Ouch!

So the moment I relocated to Colorado, my love for vampires rekindled and my passion never burned brighter. The setting was just perfect; the cold, misty mountaintops, creepy graveyards, enchanting forests and howling creatures in the woods. Add to all of this the fact that I moved to Manitou Springs, a town rumoured to have wizards, witches and vampires and I was truly at home.

Don’t believe me about my town?

We have annual Coffin races through the streets, a 500-million-year old underground world as a major tourist attraction, a haunted cemetery and fabled underground tunnels.

Now how is that for Vampires inspiration?
2) What made you decide to write? Was it something you accidentally began? Or what you wanted to do? Or annoying character who refused to leave until their story was told?
I just finished reading a book that I had high expectations for. The plot was one of those that kept you breathless. And when I reached the end, I was like…what? Devoting time into a long story just to feel disappointed in the end was like opening an empty fortune cookie!
The following day, my home, Hawaii, was under a major Tsunami warning from an 8.8 earthquake in Chile. Reports had wave predictions at almost near devastating levels for my island. All I could do was sit miles and miles away in Colorado and wait out its arrival, hoping that my family, friends, landmarks and yes, favourite food places, were going to be fine. Books are my escape from reality, but since I still had that bitter taste in my mouth from my last read, I didn’t reach for a book to pass the excruciating wait. Instead, I broke open my laptop and started thinking of a storyline I would look for in a vampire erotic romance book that I hadn’t yet found. 400 pages later, I penned my first novel, Veil of Seduction. What happened to the Tsunami you ask? Just like that book that started it all….lots of hype, but in the end, nothing but the usual ebb and flow.

3) I love hearing about first acceptances as an aspiring writer and now that I am e-published, I still love hearing about them. So tell us about that first acceptance.
I finished my first novel in May 2010. Friends that I shared the manuscript with encouraged me to submit it to a publisher, but instead, I put it to the side and began writing another novel. I wanted to make sure the 400 page story I just wrote wasn’t a fluke- I mean, I could barely write college term papers that were 10 pages! When I finished my second book in December 2010, at another 400 pages, a sense of validation washed over me that it wasn’t a fluke. I took some time researching information on the process and once I was ready, I submitted my manuscript to a publisher in April 2011. By May 2011, I was under contract and my first published novel was released in August 2011, with the second following in February 2012, and third in September 2012.

4) Tell us about your current release? Where can readers buy it from?

My newest vampire erotica release is Blood of Luna- My Naughty Vampire Series. Blood of Luna is the first book in a new series for me, aimed to be shorter reads than my Ambrose Heights Series. But don’t let “Shorter” fool you, true to its name, the story packs a lot of steamy action.

How this story came about was literally all in a dream. One morning I awoke out of breath. The feeling that I was on a mysterious expedition washed over me and I couldn’t quite understand or explain it. I stayed still, trying to recall if what I was feeling was a result of a dream. Soon, I saw it. Visions of a cave along a rocky-shoreline came to mind. Waves crashing, fog rolling in, howling wind added to the scene and while I couldn’t remember what exactly happened in the dream, the imagery itself led me to write Blood of Luna.

Blood of Luna is from Evernight Publishing and can be purchased at:
Evernight
5) What are you currently writing?

I am adding finishing touches to a new vampire series. This series follows the entire journey of one woman’s survival from the war between vampires and demons on earth.
I am also working on my first stand-alone book that is a heartbreaking romance tale. It explores the depth of love- the self-sacrifices made for the happiness of a loved one. This one is quite an emotional rollercoaster for me.

6) What inspires you most when you write?
Music.
I have ethereal instrumental pieces playing in my writing room, something with a middle-eastern flavor, to transport me into the story. With the right music, the imagery trickles into my mind, frame by frame. I close my eyes and absorb the surroundings that seem to jut from the earth to the sky, encasing me. Then I write. This allows me to take the reader on a journey that stimulates emotion and heightens every sense: sight, sound, taste, touch, and smell. In scenes of suspense, chaos and conflict, I turn to Symphonic Goth Rock. The dark drive of the strings, guitar, bass, drums and angelic or trance-like voices conjures up mystic and eerie imagery perfect for the story. Music from Lacuna Coil, Sully Erna, Within Temptation and Apocalyptica seem to do the trick. I am thrilled when I receive recommendations for music, so keep them coming!

7) What experiences have you had working with your publisher/s?
The entire creative process of product development with both of my publishers has been a great and joyful experience. Like many authors, the day you get your cover art goes beyond excitement and elation. I think the cover is a powerful validation of your accomplishment and speaks a thousand words.
And dare I say the word? Edits.
Yes, edits are also a very enjoyable experience and is truly the frosting on the cake you just baked.

8) What are you reading now?
Vampire Rage by Storm Savage

9) What are your guilty pleasures?
Chocolate, The Walking Dead, HGTV, 80’s rock music, Jim Carrey, Robert Downey Jr., Timothy Olyphant, Niko Calin, Watching Under the Tuscan Sun, Tropic Thunder, My Life in Ruins, Only you, Original Sin, Practical Magic, Eat Pray Love (Mainly to hear “My Darling…its time” uttered by Javier Bardem) over and over again, Quoting lines from Austin Power movies in the voice of Dr. Evil and dancing like “Elaine” from Seinfeld- even if people are looking.

10) What would be your advice, if any, for other aspiring authors?
Write in the genre you love to read. When you have a raw passion for something, that excitement flows through any creation with heartfelt emotion. Whether its painting, drawing, singing or writing, passion can never be forged- it’s individualistic and is what puts your stamp on the work.

Blood Of Luna

My Naughty Vampire, 1

When is it real? When is it fantasy?

For Luna Kalen, the line between reality and a dream is hard to recognize.

Recovering from a car accident, the solitude at the coast is meant to be therapeutic. But Luna soon finds it more than her idle mind can handle.

After exploring a dangerous stretch of shoreline, Luna returns home with a mysterious man she discovers in a cave. Little does Luna know that this man is about to fill her world with sinful pleasures…and blood-thirsty vampires.

When reality and fantasy collide, unimaginable dangers lurk, revelations are revealed, and darkest desires are fulfilled. But if you think the happily ever after is the sign of the ending, it’s really only the beginning.

Should Luna have listened to the warning? Do not go into the cave.

Excerpt:

Flashes of unspeakable pleasure travelled like lightning throughout my body, teasing and torturing me all at the same time. I moaned roughly and screamed in a piercing tone that echoed all along the cave walls.  Mindless vulgarity escaped from my lips. My foul-mouthed voice sounded unfamiliar, raw and naughty.
His cock plunged into me slowly, but unrelenting. In and out, bit by bit, he devoured my body.
He was a man with an insatiable need and I was the woman who held the key to his release.
“You have a nasty mouth on you,” he whispered in a coarse, breathless voice.
“You do that to me. Make me scream. Take me hard. Take me fast. Take me rough.”
“Shh, savor, Luna. Savor this right now. This is the last time you’ll ever know the sensations of a cock plunging into your half human, half vampire body. Feel each part of you that I touch.”
He bent his knees to drive up into me in a slow rhythm. Unhurried and crafty, his body moved like a dancer, full of untapped sensuality.
Away from the carnage and destruction, we were deep in a dark cavern of what seemed like an endless cave system. Wrapped in a world of complete ecstasy, we stood under a sliver of light that pierced through a fissure in the cave. Our bodies sparkled in the silvery glow.
Trevor stood with both feet planted firmly on the ground. I balanced on one leg while the other draped over his forearm. Under my bent knee, he secured my position as his hand grasped my thigh. His other hand cradled the rise in my ass, squeezing, rubbing and exploring freely. If it wasn’t for the gentle grade in the cave floor that I stood on, our height difference would never allow for such a sexual position.
With his face buried at my neck, his fingers dug deeper into my sweat-soaked flesh. His pace was still unhurried, but his thrusts to bury himself completely within me intensified. It was if he were claiming unchartered lands, saying “mine, mine, mine” with each plunge. His lips grazed my ear delicately, making me tremble in delight.
“Ickey moving around your naked body in this light is the sexiest thing I’ve ever laid eyes on.” His deep voice sounded seductive and mesmerizing.
I threw my head back and moaned as my pussy drenched his cock in more and more silky, hot wetness.
I could just imagine what my body looked like. If it was anything like what I was seeing on Trevor, it must’ve been an image straight out of a fantasy.
The beam of light was alive, wrapping around our bodies. The curves that Trevor’s body took reflected the light, acting as a mirror. Glowing and glistening, shards of luminosity bounced from our bodies into the darkness with every movement. The play on shadow and light deliciously highlighted dips and ridges in his chest, abs, and arms while portions of his facial features were blanketed in a mysterious cloak.
All the while, Ickey moved along my body without a care. Smooth and dry, she gently swept across my clavicle, up over my shoulder, slithering her way down my back, and circling around my waist. Thousands of tiny scales moved in synchronization. Rolling, surging, swelling, the piercing light glistened along the surface of her movements like the tides in an ocean.
The moment was profoundly passionate and powerful.
Suddenly, his exacting motion grew fierce and demanding. Like a wild animal released from his chains, Trevor grunted and moaned wildly and operated in nothing but a single-minded intensity. He slammed his cock into me, driving himself deep with force and purpose. Over and over, he took me, and my body withstood his demands in sheer delight. With one sure thrust, he buried himself to the hilt and held his position.
“Am I a lover who can make you scream?”
“You make me do more than scream. You make me lose my mind,” I said gasping for breath.
He slowly eased his cock from my body, letting his tip linger at the entrance of my slick pussy. “Do I now?” he said as he slammed his way into me once again.
“Yeah! Fuck me hard!”
“Hard?” he asked as he continued his slow retractions and driving force.
“Yes!” I screamed, “Give it to me. Hard!”
“My darling, as you wish.”

This is all about Maya Deleina

Someone once asked what a reader should expect from a Maya DeLeina book. I took a moment, and then smiled as I answered.

Readers can expect an indulgence on their senses. I love books that can transport me to a fantasy that is filled with mystic enchantment and sinful illusion. So, when I write, I remember what excites me. I don’t just want to read a story, I want to experience it. I spend a lot of time on the imagery. If I have a scene that descends the depths of a natural cave, I want the reader to know how the air tastes on their tongue; how the air tickles their skin in a way to make the slightest hairs stand on end. And when I write about intense passion, I want the reader to feel weak in the knees, breathless and longing to be kissed until their lips are raw with excitement.

And while there is an unspeakable power in words, the pleasures in seeing the words cannot be denied. This is why I bring my vampires to life. Check out my book trailers and photographs to see my characters in the flesh.

Excerpt From: William

Present day

The sound of glass smashing could be heard in every corner of the bar. The audience looked on at the spectacle in silence, each doubtless wondering if they would be the target of the vampire’s wrath.

“Where is she?” A fist was raised. Usually, bar fights were great sport, but in a predominantly vampire-filled bar there was no sport, just information gathering—and it wasn’t acquired over tea and biscuits. It always got bloody and it never ended well. A Valentine was on the prowl and no one was about to get in his way—even if the vampire William targeted was scared for his life.

The way the other customers saw it, the guy getting pummelled shouldn’t have earned a reputation for being a messenger to the wolves. A man supporting both sides of the war.

“I don’t know, man. No one has talked.” The guy covered his face, denying all knowledge. Adam stood and observed from the dark corner as he watched his older brother lose control. William was completely out of it.

Since another witch had been taken—Katie, the best friend of his brother Robert’s bonded mate—it was like he was losing his sense of reality. No one could reason with him.

“Tell me where they are,” William snarled in the young vampire’s face. Adam winced. He was here as a favour to Robert and he loved his brother, but this was too damn much. There was no thought, no consideration of the chaos he was causing. It had hit him worse even than losing Emma. It was like someone had carved out his heart and left him hurt and bleeding.

Katie White, the last remaining witch, was still alive, and that made it worse. At least Emma had been dead and he’d known there was nothing he could do to change that. But William knew that Katie was out there, and he was leaving a wave of destruction everywhere he went in his efforts to find her.

William wasn’t the same man. There was no mercy in this guy. Rage, anger and pain consumed him now. His was on a destructive path. No one—not even Robert—could stop him now.

Adam looked around at all the people observing the fight. Vampires, wolves…shit, even demons sat and watched William. Most of them looked terrified of the vampire who had clearly lost his mind.

Shaking his head, Adam turned back to watch his brother.

As much as he thought that this was wrong, he would never get in between his brother and what he felt he needed to do. The witch clearly meant something to him. No vampire went this crazy for a woman unless she was a bond mate.

Adam didn’t know much about her. He’d never met her. A few months ago, she had been taken by the wolf Alpha, James. The same night his own father—head of the vampire council and the most powerful vampire in all of Beyer West—had been killed. Murdered, actually. Taken from them by the same wolf.

Everything around them was going to shit and his brother was determined to go down the same path. At any time the other customers could jump them and finally be rid of the unstable Valentine boy. For decades, William had made himself a reputation for being the crazy brother, but now he was driving his ruthlessness to a whole new level.

Adam tensed as the barman approached his brother. The barman was a vampire and, from the look of it, one of the older generation. Adam moved closer. If it went the wrong way he would back his brother. Whether he believed what his brother was doing was right or not, family came first.

That was what made him a Valentine.

Adam watched as William raised his fist, ready to take another set of swipes at the guy he held. The barman stopped his raised fist easily, holding it in his, and span William around as if he were nothing more than a rag doll.

“Son, he said he didn’t know nothing. Leave him be,” the barman said.

William hissed and tried to hit the barman, a great insult amongst their community. Out of respect, no one attacked the older generation. Adam swore and moved forward.

The barman grabbed William and, using the full force of his upper body, threw him against the bar. The bottles rattled and the customers close by dispersed, not wanting to get involved in a fight that was clearly about to get worse.

Adam ran, going for the man who was holding his brother. The barman turned and sucker-punched him across the room before Adam could even land a blow. He crashed through the window, broken shards of glass spraying around him.

“Fuck,” Adam cursed. The only humans in the street were ones who had seen too much of this world and were pretty much crazy. Drunks, druggies and prostitutes who knew better than to talk about what they had seen. His fangs protruded as his anger rose.

Fuck protocol. Adam was pissed off and cruising for a fight.

He stormed back into the bar.

William was bloodied but he was getting in a few punches of his own.

“I’ve told you not to bring shit like this to my bar. I didn’t serve your fucking family to have you ruin my business,” the barman yelled as he pushed William away from him.

1, Yes, vampires can have children and you’ll hear more about this as the series progresses. Fingers crossed by editor likes the rest.

2,  The vampire who would be with her after the first experience would taste her innocence but also the marked fear her body has undergone. I’ve explained more of this in the series as it progresses but the victim would taste like an innocent but with the subtle taste of the abuse she’d undergone.

Does that answer your questions? Thank you for sending them my way. I’m always happy to answer.

Be Warned: forced seduction

Excerpt:

Wayne saw the conflicting emotions cross her face. He flicked her clit to gain her attention. His dick threatened to burst out of his zipper. He was so hard.

He moved a hand away from the wall, and he placed her free hand over his cock confined to his pants.

“Touch me,” he said. Her small hand circled round his cock as much as possible through the trousers. Her gasp made his blood race. Wayne knew from her innocent reactions that she was becoming attracted to him. Her leaking cunt confirmed it. She was so wet and juicy. Her hips were thrusting on his hands trying to get him to play with her nub. Wayne smiled and ran his fingers through her slit, gathering her juice on two of his fingers, and then to shock her a little more, he brought those fingers to his lips and sucked off her cream. Her husky scent teased his nostrils, and he wanted more. He needed to put his face in her cunt and lick her clean. If they were in his own office and not her parents, he’d have her spread over the desk, half-naked and close to her second climax. From her reaction, this place didn’t offer her many fun memories.

“You’re so big,” she mumbled.

Wayne knew then she didn’t possess any sexual experience beyond the merest fumble in a car somewhere.

Her innocence astounded him.

“You taste good,” he whispered near her ear. His lips locked on the flesh. She bowed to his touch, and Wayne knew he’d found her sweet spot.

Their pants filled the air around them, and he wanted to see her come undone in his arms, to watch the flow of arousal consume her.

“Come for me.” His fingers found her swollen clit, and she groaned. Her legs quivered. He supported her with his weight against the bookshelf. His two fingers ran along her slit and clit. “Look at me. I want to see you explode,” he said. Her beautiful eyes pierced him with the desperation she must be feeling. “I’ll take care of you, baby.” Wayne knew more than anything he’d give this girl the world if only she opened up and gave him a tiny piece of herself.

All he wanted was the promise of a future with her.

With a few taps on her clit, Lily came apart within seconds. Her hands on his body squeezed, and her cry of pleasure erupted in the air. Wayne swallowed down her kiss, muffled the sound so no one but he could hear or know what was happening.

What would be like to have his cock inside her pussy when she contracted around him? Would she get tighter as she thrashed wildly around him? Or would she be peaceful and serene? Either way, Wayne was going to be the one and only man to make her lose total control.

“Give me your answer.” He growled, sucking her juice from his fingers.

A nice red blush stained her cheeks and the top of her chest. Wayne desired to pull her gown down and suck on her sweet hot nipples. How many times had he fantasised about seeing this voluptuous woman naked? Spread before him on the silk sheets of his four-poster bed?

“Please, give me more time?” Her voice quivered, and her body shook. Deep down, he wanted to take her in his arms and protect her from everything threatening to pose harm. He needed to stay strong.

“I want your answer now.”

“Please.”

“Now or never, Lily.” Wayne pulled away and shut off his emotions.   The time to think with his head and nothing else. “When I get to the door, I better have your answer. If I leave this room without any answer, the debt collectors will come knocking tomorrow. It’s your decision, Lily.”

“Why are you doing this to me?”

Wayne caught her face in his palms. He looked deep into her eyes. “Because you’re the one that caught my attention.”

Without a second look, he walked the short distance to the door, each step like a ticking clock in his mind. Wayne closed his eyes and prayed she wouldn’t be stupid. She wouldn’t test his resolve. They didn’t call him the Beast for nothing.

The Valentines: Robert

Book one in The Valentines Series

A war is about to begin.

Sophie Ford has a secret. Fear for herself and her friend has her running to the vampire council in search of protection.

And she is bonded to a vampire.

Robert Valentine knows Sophie is hiding something, but what? She tempts him as no little human ever has in his whole life. He is the eldest son of the most powerful family in the world.

Forces they cannot control are fighting against them. Time is running out. Sophie’s secret is about to be exposed. Is there time to save the ones they love? Can Robert and Sophie move on and survive the war that is about to begin?

Reader Advisory: This book is the first of a series and contains scenes of violence between werewolves and vampires.

The Council of Vampires, somewhere in Beyer West.

“You will allow this match to go through.”

Robert Valentine glanced over at his father—head of the Valentine Corporation and leader of his family—feeling bewildered and angry.

“It is just another human family on the verge—”

“I don’t care,” his father yelled at him across the room.

Robert watched his mother flinch. His three brothers turned away, not wanting their father’s wrath directed at them. Robert understood. These were perilous times and his father had no room in his life for arguments. His two sisters were not even allowed access to the Council’s chambers. Instead, old traditions said they must remain outside at all times. One day, Robert wished to banish the old ways and start afresh. Rose and Dawn were equally affected by what happened in this place as he was.

Robert looked at his father. He respected him but there were times when he despised the way in which the man worked. The laws that governed their society were archaic. If they didn’t change their ways soon, Robert believed it would get them all killed.

“What have they offered?” Robert asked, trying to take some interest in the situation, since it was likely to affect his future. At the moment he had no power to change the outcome of tonight’s events.

His father nodded to the guards to open the connecting door leading out to the human visiting room. This allowed humans a place to sit and wait, and offered protection against the abuses of the outside world. Vampire protection, among the humans, was considered a last resort, and only the most degraded and those without pride accepted such an alliance.

A man and a woman entered the great hall. There was nothing fantastic about their appearance. They were dressed in business suits, neat and tidy, and he noted that they appeared to be in their late fifties. One of them carried a folder, which was odd. He assumed the folder contained information, but the Council usually had all the information it needed about human visitors petitioning for help. Beyer West might be a small town, but it was a Valentine-run town. His father was pedantic in his dealings with the human public. Every deal and alliance must be well-documented and sealed away for future reference.

“Mr and Mrs Ford, allow me to introduce my oldest son, Robert Valentine.”

Robert acknowledged the couple, bowing, as was the protocol among his family. He kept his attention on the Council and his own family, though. He knew of the Fords from his own company dealings. They were a prosperous family who should have no need of the Valentines’ services. Only last week Robert had checked the profit margins for the town’s most affluent families. It all seemed rather odd to him.

The couple glanced nervously around them.

“We need the kind of protection you are notorious for offering,” Mrs Ford said.

Robert noticed that Mr Ford was scratching his head and felt like doing the same. How could this company need their help? Last time he checked, Mrs Ford stayed at home with the children while her husband ran the company. Robert couldn’t think of a single reason why they would be at the Council.

“We are not a security company, Mrs Ford.”

“I’m aware of that, but we can meet the price that you have set.” She handed over the file. “We’ve stumbled into some financial difficulty and we would also like assistance with this.”

Robert Valentine opened the folder. An A4 picture of a beautiful young woman stared up at him, an innocent and carefree smile shining from deep within her.

“Pretty girl,” he complimented her.

“That is Sophie. My only daughter and not a girl but a woman of twenty-one,” Mr Ford corrected him.

“With all due respect, Mr Ford, I’m more than five hundred years old. To me, she is a child,” Robert snapped, looking up to glare at the couple.

He couldn’t deny the intrigue he felt about the girl, just from the picture he’d seen, but she was still a child. Her picture and family situation should not concern him or his family. Why did he suddenly have a bad vibe about the whole meeting? Robert glanced back at the file. The innocence clearly expressed in her beautiful features said that this girl hadn’t yet been tainted by the real world. He felt a tug at his heart, knowing that within months the smile would be gone, replaced by a frown and wary features. That was just part of life, but something within him didn’t want this girl to be affected by it.

This meeting was getting odder by the second.

Mr Ford retreated, leaving his wife to deal with the proceedings.

“The protection you offer is that no harm will come to the family, as well as you supplying money to cover our debts?” she asked.

His father nodded.

“The deal would be between Sophie and me,” Robert interrupted. He found that he wished to see the real-life vision of the girl in the photo. To witness her innocence himself and to see her reaction to him. Would she be as affected by him as he was by her?
