Guest: Angela Castle

Hello and welcome Angela Castle to my site. She has so graciously agreed to be interviewed.

So lets begin…

1) First, tell us a little about yourself so the readers know who you are?

Hum, where to start, I’m an Aussie first off, married with three children, seven and under, living in pretty little rural town in Victoria. I work part time as a chef, in a lovely little bistro and have many different hobbies and interest such as reading, whip cracking, sewing, helping to run a local play group… the list does go on.

2) What made you decide to write? Was it something you accidentally began? Or what you wanted to do? Or annoying character who refused to leave until their story was told?

I think I’ve always been a story teller and dreamer since early childhood. I grew up with three sisters and a brother. I used to love and write stories for them. At twenty one I had the opportunity to spend a lot of time alone, house sitting, and wrote my very first novel. (Which will more than likely never see the light of day.) But as it does, life gets in the way, work, family, kids. There years ago I started writing again, with the intent of being published.

3) I love hearing about first acceptances as an aspiring writer and now that I am e-published, I still love hearing about them. So tell us about that first acceptance.

Yes, I love hearing those stories too! My first book Blue Fire, although the story was good, my writing was utter crapacious. I had much to learn about grammar and sentence structure ect. Even clueless, I still submitted and got knocked back on my poor writing style. But I didn’t let it stop me. I worked hard to get the manuscript up to an acceptable standard. I was thrilled when I re-submitted Blue Fire, and got my first acceptance letter. (Yes hubby thought I’d lost my mind screaming down the house) The publisher Rouge Phoenix Press, were wonderful, working with me, helping me get my story to a publishable standard. Blue Fire has been a great success since release.

4) Tell us about your current release? Where can readers buy it from?

Love Unbound, is a modern BDSM story, it is a heart-touching story, dealing with the emotions of losing someone close to you.
Sometimes I get a story so strong in my head it simply refuses to leave until I have written it out. This was such a story, coupled with the fact I had a recent death in my family, I poured my sad emotions into this story.

5) What are you currently writing?

Being a multitasker, I have several projects going on at once. I’m currently working on two separate sci-fi abduction stories. One is a gladiator beast type story. The other is a galactic ruler, needing to find a bride type story. All wonderful fun. J

6) What inspires you most when you write?

Coffee… lots, and lots of coffee…. Naaah, I am blessed with an overactive imagination, not a day goes by without my head wanting to implode with a story. Anything could trigger a thought which will lead to a plot and a new story.

7) What experiences have you had working with your publisher/s?

With over fourteen titles currently selling, I’ve been lucky enough to have worked with four different publishers. I love all my current publishers. They have been great, professional, flexible and understanding.

8) What are you reading now?

Now that is a loaded question, I can chew through a book in a few hours, I LOVE reading as much as I LOVE writing. I’ve just read Tymber Dalton’s, Love Slave For Two, series. And have a Pile of To Be Read a mile long.

9) What are your guilty pleasures?

Coffee… chocolate… no, Chocolate then coffee? Aaaah heck combination of the two? Died and gone to heaven!

10) What would be your advice, if any, for other aspiring authors?

Never give up! You may think your writing or story is not good enough, don’t let it stop you. Keep going, keep your mind open to new things and learning everything you can. Also daydreaming is one of the most vital aspects for every creative writer. Then turn your dreams into reality.

This is for you to talk more about yourself, leave your blogging details, site details and generally promote yourself.

Thanks for letting me waffle on today, and thanks to those who read my waffle… hum hungry now.

Any whoo. I’ve got a website I also love getting feedback from my readers, so don’t be shy email me at
I’ve got a few exciting releases coming this year so if you would like to keep up dated on all my news I’m always hanging about on Facebook hit the like button and then subscribe.

Book Review: Love Unbound by Angela Castle

I was given the opportunity to review a book by a fellow Evernight author, Angela Castle. This is her first story with Evernight and I know from what I’ve read it won’t be her last.

So, here is all the information you need first.

Arriving home from work, Master Brendon finds a wonderful gift waiting. Tied to a chair is the lush Jay Becket, his sub’s best friend. Being bi-sexual, Brendon explores the delights of Jay’s submission. All too quickly he finds himself falling under her spell, in more ways than one.

Jay has always lusted after Brendon and agrees to her best friend’s plan to become Master Brendon’s new submissive, to help ease the pain she knows is coming.

But emotions spiral out of control when Brendon learns the truth behind Jay’s sweet submission. A secret which could tear their new fragile bond apart.

Be Warned: BDSM, anal sex, m/m sex, multiple partners, sex toys, voyeurism

My Review

Angela Castle is a new author to me and I didn’t know what to expect. I can now tell you I was thrilled by her story, Love Unbound.

The premise of the story is, Jay’s best friend, Ryan, teachers her how to be a submissive to his partner, Brendon. Can I just say, Brendon sounded so yummy. I feel for him instantly. He has the perfect combination of possessiveness, love and just everything I love to read about in a man. Ryan offers Jay as a gift to his master in the hope they can live together happily.

I don’t want to give anything away as the bitter sweet ending is what really makes this story. The chemistry between Jay and Brendon, was believable and sweet. I loved how Angela Castle showed a difference in Brendon’s affection for Jay and Ryan. He fell for them both but you’re not disappointed with Jay being added to the mix.

This story does have a big twist that made me put the book down for a few hours before finishing. I like how stories draw me in and I can really get a sense of the characters. The fact that this is a really short story is what makes it a wonderful read.

Love Unbound moves along at a nice steady pace. I didn’t feel rushed in everything that was happening. Be warned, this does have some steamy scenes in and BDSM as well.

Overall, this story is well worth the read and I thank Angela for allowing me the opportunity to read this story.

Tomorrow, Angela will be a guest on my blog so don’t forget to stop by and see what she has to say.
