1) Tell is about yourself.

I am a wife to Nigel for almost twenty years and have three teenage children. Live in Grimsby, England and work in a residential care home. In my spare time I write erotic, romantic novels. I have been writing all my life since I can remember having a wild imagination. When at school I wrote long essays of soft love and got told of by the teacher to make them shorter… like that stopped me writing. Then when I was 19 I began writing erotic. My mind never lacks ideas, I love all aspects of research to make a good novel. In my spare time I like being with my family, visiting friends, reading, listening to music, watching movies and travelling the gorgeous British countryside.

2) What genre do you write and why?

I write erotic, as I love exploring sexual fantasies and the intimacy between lovers.

3) What made you become a writer?

I have no real idea, it all started when I was a young girl. I just had all the ideas in my head and wrote them down.

4) Tell us about your recent book or series.

I came up with the idea over five years ago to write about a sex club. But could not decide how to plot it or make it more interesting, other than guests just having sex… so I came up with writing about a sex instructor then came the idea of writing about a woman searching to re-discover herself, turning to the sex club for help in re-building her sexual confidence after being involved in a nasty relationship. Then came the love story!! The name Desires is the name of the club as well as the main character desiring to re-build her life and her tutor.

Desires_Holly J Gill and Nikki Blaise

Desires the blurb…
Desires—a place where fantasies are made flesh and dreams become real. From BDSM to being a dog, Desires can provide it with bells on, if that’s your kink.
Stacie Clifford’s only desire is to regain her sexual confidence after her recent escape from an abusive marriage. She joins Desires looking for re-education in the joys of her body. There is only one condition; her contract states emotional attraction between tutor and student is forbidden. Stacie is fine with that; her heart is so battered she has no desire to give it to anyone else.
Then she meets her instructor, Dan. Instantly attracted, at first Stacie thinks it will help to make her sexually comfortable with him. But when she realises she is falling in love, she can’t tear herself away, contract or no. Stacie knows that, no matter how kind and caring Dan appears, he’s just doing his job. Can Stacie overcome her own Desires and walk away?

“Where would you begin?” she said, suddenly eager.
“That’s up to you. On your notes you said you liked your breasts being touched, maybe…totally up to you…but maybe we could begin there,” he said.
Stacie panicked. “You would see me?”
“That’s for you to decide. It would be better if I did, but it’s your choice, Stacie,” he said.
Stacie’s sudden bravado fled. “May I use the bathroom?”
“Of course.”
Not wasting a second she headed into the stunning en-suite. She closed the door and pressed her back against it, feeling a total wreck.
Her head filled with concerns. She was wavering, not altogether sure of the right thing to do. Her breathing became rapid and panicky. She pushed herself off the door and sat down on the closed toilet lid, taking deep breaths to try to calm herself.
“Come on Stacie, sort yourself out. Yes, he’s gorgeous, nothing like you expected, but you’re paying for the session with him. This is a sex club. What did you expect?” she muttered to herself, keeping her voice low. She didn’t want him to hear her talking to herself. He probably already thought she was enough of a fruit loop.
Stacie headed over to the sink and stared at her own petrified face in the mirror.
“Right, girl.” She glared at herself right in the eye. “You’ve come here to get help. You either walk and be boring and alone for the rest of your life, or you have that nice young man out there teach you.” She gazed back at the bathroom door, with Dan the other side of it. Acid panic splashed about in her stomach, and a lump the size of Everest rose in her throat, but she knew what she had to do.

Adult excerpt

She squeezed her eyes shut and relished the brush of his hands on her flesh as he exposed her to his view. Stacie inhaled deeply, pushing out her chest toward him, knowing that he had full view of her cleavage bursting out of her sparkling bra.
Stacie placed her hands back on her breasts, squeezing and kneading the soft lush flesh. Her mind filled with flickering random images. Dan kissing her, Dan touching her, Dan making love to her while she screamed in ecstasy. Her pussy quivered and she squeezed her muscles, feeling pulses shooting directly from her nipples to her core. How much longer could she wait for him to touch her?
Desperately, she moved her hands up and down her hips and waist. Then back to her breasts, squeezing them tight, feeling more eager than ever, feeling frustrated. She wanted, needed to be naked, to feel flesh against flesh.
Again Stacie felt Dan come back close to her. He wrapped his arms around her reaching for the back of the bra to unclasp it. All he had to do was lower her back against the satin cover and she would let him take her, then and there. Stacie quivered. She was ready.

1) Tell is about yourself.

I’m a full-time author, happily taken woman, mother of 2 wonderful boys and almost step mom of 2 more boys and a girl. Yep, we have a large family. I write six days a week and keep to a strict 2k minimum word count per day. Most days I write closer to 5k especially when a story is unfolding well and I’m blessed with quiet time. To date, I have 48 books published; 2 under my pen name Bonnie Parker. I spend the afternoons with the children. After dinner, they usually disappear to their rooms to do their own thing and I curl up with a book on the sofa next to my honey while he watches TV. I’m not much of a TV person, though I have a few shows I’m hooked on. I love The Walking Dead, NCIS, Chicago Fire, and White Collar. Thursday nights are dart night. My honey and I are part of the local darting association and we have a team that plays every Thursday night. I use that time to unwind and put all the household responsibilities and plot lines to the back of my mind for a few hours.

2) What genre do you write and why?

I write mostly erotic romance contemporary, though I have a few books in the fantasy and paranormal genres. I write erotic romances because I got tired of closing the bedroom door when a plot was just getting to the steamy stuff. I’m not really sure I can explain why I prefer contemporary. I get on my paranormal or fantasy kicks now and then, but I always come back to contemporary. Maybe it’s because of my fascination with men in uniform. I’ve seen some authors take this concept into the paranormal genre, but when I picture a firefighter, law officer, soldier, or what have you, he’s always more real-life than super-powered.

3) What made you become a writer?

The voices in my head. Seriously, even when I was a kid, they wouldn’t shut up! It was either start writing or declare myself insane. Some people say I’m insane anyway, but at least I found a way to put the voices to work.

4) Tell us about your recent book or series.

My most recent title is book 9 of The Heroes of Silver Springs series and will be released on Christmas Eve 2012. Going Under features three male characters who have been working their way into one heck of a love triangle for several books now and are finally getting their story. It is a M/M/M novel, the first one in The Heroes of Silver Springs and highly anticipate by fans of the series, even those who don’t generally read man love novels. Here’s the official blurb:

For a man who vowed never to fall in love, how can it be possible FBI agent Cameron Stone managed to fall twice? Hot on the trail of a missing fellow agent, Cameron finds himself in Silver Springs, hometown of DEA agent Adrien Bingham and Firefighter Thaddeus Carter, and the last place Cameron needs to be. When emotions run wild and attraction explodes, can the self-proclaimed playboy hold onto his resistance?

Adrien never intended to fall for Cameron. Too bad his heart wouldn’t listen. Then Thaddeus walked into his life and his heart ended up on a train wreck of confusion.

Thaddeus knew Adrien’s heart already belonged to someone, but that didn’t stop his pursuit. When he meets Cameron, he realizes the man is the one standing in his way. But when his own attraction to Cameron detonates, he’s left in a hell of a mess.

5) What have you found to be the most challenging?

Promotion. I hate promotion! As a writer, that’s all I want to do is tell the stories of the characters who are speaking to me in my head. Unfortunately, a writing career involves a lot more than simply sitting down at a computer and letting the words flow. I have to actually let people know there is a book out there by me to be read. In a slew of too many other books to count, promotion is definitely a vital key to keeping up the career, but it still sucks. LOL

A Few fun questions.

Does size matter?

Nope, but skill does 🙂

Christian Grey or Gideon Cross?

I honestly can’t answer that. I haven’t read either book.

Today I am visiting to share with you all my new Christmas book, Rudolf & Dancer, which is part of the Reindeer Games anthology between the Wickedly Sexy Writers. It was a complete pleasure working with these ladies on these stories and I couldn’t be more excited too show you my little piece of this great set of stories!

As I was researching for the book I felt myself engrossed in an abundance of facts about the creature known as the reindeer.

  •  Like did you know, the name for these deer found native to North America (including Greenland) is “Caribou”, while in Europe it is known as the “Reindeer”.
  •  Or that, they are the only species of deer in which both male and female (and even calves) have antlers.
  •  Adult males can weigh over 300 pounds and adult females can exceed 200 pounds.

Now I don’t know about you but I find it interesting that both the female and the males have antlers. A fact of which I added to my story. I’ve never had the privilege to see one of these magnificent creatures in person but it makes me want to hunt down a local farm to visit.

Make sure you check out my story, Rudolf & Dancer, coming out December 17, 2012 from Secret Cravings Publishing.

After years away from home, her brother’s freak accident brings Donna Dancer home to the man who broke her heart. Time hasn’t diminished the lust and love, and emotions can’t be denied. Donna is sick of playing reindeer games with her mate, Paul Rudolf, but there are only so many rejections a girl can take.It takes a dedicated man to lead the group of reindeer shifters responsible for bringing joy to millions of children, and Paul takes his job very seriously. Women were nothing more than a distraction he doesn’t need, but he now finds himself feeling lonely and hating the job he’s loved for so long. Rejecting Donna was the one decision he regrets more and more with each passing day. Will this Christmas be as lonely as the rest? Or will Paul and Donna finally find holiday bliss in each others arms.

“You’ve been gone an awfully long time, sweet pea. We honestly didn’t know if you would say yes.”“I’m sorry, Daddy. I just…”“I know, honey. Just don’t go away that long ever again. Okay?”“I promise.”Donna looked around, searching from one face to another, trying to keep her gaze casual as she scanned the crowd for the only other man she desperately wanted to see.One face blurred into another as she took the crowd in at a slow pace. After a few minutes of searching, she almost gave up. Then, she locked gazes with the one man who held her heart. The world shifted, causing her to stand uneasy on her feet. An overwhelming need to shift and run took over her body as she dropped her gaze from his eyes and handed her bag to her mother, giving her an ‘I need to get away’ look.Without another word, she turned her back to the crowd and sprinted toward the woods behind the house. Her deer half wanted to run as much as her human half did, and just like every other time she was in her mate’s presence, she lost complete control and could only give in to what her body and soul needed.Ditching her dress on a limb just outside the tree line, Donna let the change come over her swiftly. Muscles burned and bones reshaped as Donna went from human to deer. When the transformation was complete and she was standing at the forest’s edge, Donna opened her eyes and took in the cabin and people as they milled around. Kids played with each other at the waters edge while parents watched closely from where they visited, not far away.Once upon a time, she envisioned herself doing that very thing with children of her very own. Without a mate, that future was impossible and it tore her up inside, knowing she wouldn’t ever have that happiness. With one last look at the party, she turned and sprinted through the forest. She didn’t know where she was going but anywhere was better than here right now. The pain in her heart was almost too much to bear. But in the end, she loved Paul with her entire being, and if he’d have her, she would gladly forget all the heartbreak and spend forever in his arms.Buy links:

Guest: Jamallah Bergman + Giveaway

1. Tell us about yourself?

Well my name is Jamallah Bergman I was born in New York but I reside in Atlanta with my daughter and family. I am a friend to the end with those I meet and I can say that I’ve talked and met some really great fellow authors on Facebook. Some say I am silly, which I can tell you I am very silly at times. It makes me feel good to know that some of my antics make others around me feel just as good.

2. What genre do you write and why?

I mainly write about Interracial, some Contemporary and Erotica. I mainly write about Interracial because it’s something that I am very much interested in as far as in real life. I always see beyond people as far as their race and that’s what makes my stories pretty good. Everybody can relate to what I write about no matter if the hero is white and the heroine is black.

3. What made you become a writer?
Well I can say that I’ve been a writer forever. I’ve always been scribbling something down on paper when I was a kid about my thoughts and dreams that occupied my head on a day to day basis. I get that from my dad, he was very much into the Arts as far as writing poetry and drawing (which mind you my daughter does a lot of drawing herself as well and is really good at it too). I always felt like I had a story that needed to be told and when I got older and my stories got a bit more in debt, my stories showed that.

4. Tell us about your recent book or series?

My latest book, “Sorry…Wrong Number” is Book one in the Wrong Number series.
This story is probably the most provocative one I’ve written to date. It basically about something that basically happens to us daily…..someone getting a phone call that ends up being a wrong number. But in this story, I went one step further as we find out what happens when the ‘wrong number’ goes a little bit more than expected. And what happens between Marcie and Jonathan is completely unreal as the conversations that they have are epic.

5. What have you found to be the most challenging?
Well as of late, the most challenging part has been trying not to stop writing. I am constantly in ‘writer’s mode’ and the stories keep flowing. Which honestly is great, but something I would love to get the chance to sit down and read some of my fellow author’s books. But as of late, I haven’t had the chance to really do that, been way too busy writing these stories that I keep thinking about. So in a way, it’s good to be writing.

· Does size matter?

Hell yes it matters,lol
· Christian Grey or Gideon Cross?

Like I said, I haven’t read either book so I wouldn’t know which to pick.
· Flowers or Chocolate?

Flowers (main reason for this because I’ve never had a man give me a bouquet of flowers so honestly I’d love to get some flowers anyday)
· Ebook or Paperback?

All good things have a beginning and with this story, it all begins with a call. Marcie Reynolds thought nothing of grabbing the phone that evening but she never thought that once she answered and heard the amazing voice on the other end that anything would happen, since the fact that the man had the wrong number.

Jonathan Sutton thought he had the right number and after the second time he calls, he couldn’t help but be enthralled after listening to the sweet voice on the other end. Soon he strikes up a conversation with the girl who calls herself ‘Joan’ and quickly sparks fly.

Watch as Marcie and Jonathan make what seems like something as innocent as a phone call into something that neither one of them will never forget.

He whisked her off to a restaurant called Linden’s, an out of the way café that was not crowded during the day, which gave them time to be with one another. They were seated at the secluded table Jonathan had requested for more intimacy between them. As they sat there, he touched her hands, running her fingers along his own as he traced the inside of her palms. He was so delicate with his touch, causing goose bumps to form over her entire body. She looked up into his eyes as he softly nuzzled her cheek with his own and she heard him sighing into her ear.

“You don’t know how long I’ve been dreaming about this moment with you, Marcie.”

Just hearing Jonathan saying this caused her body to shake from the way his voice made her feel, or maybe it was his stubble, which felt good against her skin.

“If there weren’t other people in this restaurant, I’d take you over this table right now,” Jonathan whispered. Marcie tried not to laugh, but ended up doing just that in the quiet restaurant.

“You are a devil, you know that, Jonathan?”

“A big ol’ horny devil is what I am, Ms. Marcie.” He took her hand and laid it on his hard cock and watched her shoot him a look of amazement and surprise. He smiled. “This is all yours, Marcie, all yours for the taking and I’ve wanted you to take it for days. Now that I’ve got you, I don’t plan on ever letting you go.”

His voice was deep and sensual and Marcie could feel herself about to lose it completely as his breath grew hotter against her skin. It was causing her panties to get wetter by the moment, but thankfully, the waiter brought over their lunch. While they were eating, he would not let Marcie’s hand stop resting on the front of his pants. She could feel the heat radiating from him; it caused her to become even hotter than she already was at that moment.

1) When did you start writing, and was there a significant event that prompted you to do so?

I began creatively writing in college; however, I quickly discovered I could not pay the bills by my writing alone. I began work for the feds. However, maybe it was a mid-life crisis or my divorce that seriously spurned my writing again. It took me well over two years to write my first novel, simply because I really had no idea “how to” actually pen a book.

2) Where do you get your inspiration for writing?

Initially, my inspiration came from personal experiences. However, I also now use anecdotal family stories, current events, and sometimes even a simple sentence is the beginning of a new book.

3) What motivates you?

My desire to create a world I can control the outcome. Also, writing is a stress relief activity for me.

4) Do you pre-plan your stories, or are you a by-the-seat-of-the-pants style writer?

I take notes constantly. I have a simple idea in my head and then I build on it. I have a long commute for my day job, and my mind churns constantly. As I think of something, I write it down and see how I can fit it into a WIP. However, sometimes when I’m writing, the flow just takes off and it feels great when that happens. I also have very vivid dreams and write them down as soon as I awaken to use them for a story.

5) Do you write only when inspired, or do you have a set schedule where you sit down to write?

Because I hold a FT job outside of writing, sometimes, I must keep a storyline until I get a break or go home for the day. It’s very difficult, but, I will jot my quick notes down so I keep that scene or idea fresh.

6) Do you have a favorite genre to write in?

I like to write in different genres, according to my mood. My first three published books are romance, I would like to finish my suspense/thriller and see how it is received.

7) To read?

I like to read adventure stories or biographies, such as Aron Ralston’s story (Between a Rock and a Hard Place). I also read many books in the inspirational/Christian genre, thriller/suspense genre, and some romance as well.

8) What do you enjoy the most about writing?

Creating a world and positive endings that maybe did not occur in reality, similar to re-writing an actual event.

9) Is there any part of writing that you don’t enjoy?

The arthritis in my hands acts up and I can’t always write for as long as I want.

10)Can you tell me something odd about yourself?

Engaging in repetitive motion makes me nauseous. Keystrokes are sometimes a killer. lol

11)Do you write one story at a time, or do you have several novels in the works at one time?

I have about seven in the works right now.

12) What are your current projects?

A few YA books- one with a bullying plotline, one with a paranormal theme and one with a fall romance. I have a serial killer/demon suspense in progress. I also have a few romance books in the works.

13) Do you have any advice for others about self-publishing?

Edit until you can’t stand it anymore.

14)Do you have any online sites where readers can find out more about you (and your books)?

My books are available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and my publisher, Secret Cravings Publishing

My genres: Romance, Erotic Romance, and coming soon, Thrillers and YA

Blurb for Eve’s First Noel:
Decked out in her sexiest holiday finest, Eve strolled into Noel’s life more unsure of herself than ever, yet determined to find joy for Christmas. Noel was having trouble learning to live ardently again, but one look at Eve roused his dormant masculine desires.

B&N –

Blurb for Lovedust and Trailblazers:
Young Marine, Josiah Samuels, was sent home from the Korean Conflict and honored with a Purple Heart for the shrapnel wounds across his chest. Although he proudly served his country, he lived on a daily basis haunted by the sights and sounds of warfare.

As a cattle rancher, he raised stock for local rodeos and lived a simple life of solitude. But, the loneliness and the void the war created in his chest began to overwhelm him.
Then, because of a “cow emergency”, he met Minnie Mitchell, a spitfire neighboring rancher who finished veterinary school in a time when few women were even admitted to University veterinarian programs. She faced her own obstacles in running her family’s cattle operation and finding a job as a vet in stereotypical 1950’s Oklahoma.
Minnie passionately rattled Josiah’s world in ways he previously only dreamed. Now, together, these Trailblazers must find a way to keep Minnie close to the family ranch…and Josiah’s loving arms.

Explicit Excerpt from Lovedust and Trailblazers:

Minnie pulled only slightly away. “Josiah, I want you to make love to me. I am a woman with needs and it’s been so long since I’ve been touched by a man. Even when I did, it felt nothing like what you bring forth in me. Right now, you’ve created such a burn in my loins that I don’t even care if you lose respect for me for being so bold. I need you that much.”
With those words, Minnie began unbuttoning her shirt. Josiah sat transfixed watching her dainty hands manipulate the buttons back out the buttonholes. She worked slowly, almost teasingly, as he watched her creamy, freckled décolletage peek through the loosened neckline. She tugged her hemline out from her jeans and leaned in once more for another kiss, this time, sliding her tongue in between his slightly parted lips. His breath became ragged and course, mimicking the impulses shocking his system.
“I have nothing but respect for you Minnie, and even more so at this very moment.”
Pulling her lips away from his, she sucked his tongue into her mouth, leaned back, and with a soft smacking sound, released his tasty tongue. She kept her eyes on his as she slid the shirt down her arms and into a small bundle on the floor next to her thigh. Minnie reached back and swiftly unclasped her bra and in one motion freed her small pert breasts from the white underwire lace. Josiah’s mouth watered at the sight of her nipples immediately tightening into small hard nubs, ready for his tongue.
He leaned forward and grazed his tongue against her neck, moving his head down for her breasts. He took one nipple gently into his mouth and lightly sucked it, reaching his hand to caress the other one. Minnie brought one hand up and traced the outline of his lips as he licked and sucked her nipple. She ran her fingers in line with his tongue, wetting them with his saliva. She then used her wet fingers to caress the other nipple into the same hardened intensity.
Minnie reached for the snap buttons on Josiah’s shirt. She popped them open hungrily, reaching for his chest. She gasped taking in his manly torso, magnificent, muscular, and also riddled with scars. “You are a beautiful man, Josiah.”
“The afternoon provided us with the perfect background to make love. Are you okay here in the loft?” Josiah looked around eagerly for a more comfortable location.
“Yes, I actually have a couple of quilts up here for when I need to escape for a nap.” Minnie stood up and quickly retrieved two quilts from a corner trunk. “I think we will be fine right here by the open hayloft door. Only the lightning will see what we are doing.”
She spread the quilts one of top of each other as Josiah removed his own shirt and tossed it across the floor. Minnie began unbuttoning her jeans before he stopped her. “Please allow me, I want to fully experience you as I do this.”
Leaning over, he once again raked her nipples with his hungry tongue as he dropped to his knees. He unzipped her jeans and slid them halfway down her thighs. “Minnie, has a man ever kissed you intimately before, you know, below the waist?”
“Oh, cowboy, no, but how I’ve dreamed of it. Are you going to teach me about it?” Minnie held her breath in excited anticipation.
“I’m going to try it, Minnie, but, it’s a first for me too. I just can’t help myself, I want to devour you.” Josiah leaned in and kissed her against her panties. He felt the heat coming from her core. His panting made her panties moist on the outside. He reached around and cupped her ass with his large, strong hands, pressing her groin into his face.
Josiah began tentatively kissing her intimate region through the simple, cotton fabric. Minnie’s knees began to buckle and he stood quickly to right her balance. Josiah scooped her up into his arms and lifted her close to him. “This is more intense than I ever imagined, Minnie, you must know this.”
Speechless, Minnie only nodded in agreement. Josiah gingerly dropped to his knees on the makeshift bed, still cradling her in his arms, relishing the feel of her naked torso against his chest. He laid her down and moved to slide her jeans from her legs. He then slid her panties down her thighs, marveling at her intimate beauty. The gentle “V” of hair curling gracefully around the core of her femininity captured his attention and filled in the blanks of his imagination.

Be Warned: anal sex, menage sex (MFMM)

She stared at his erection. He felt her gaze like a caress over his length. “I thought you didn’t want me.”
“Baby, I wish I was able to reduce my need for you. Look at me, Zoe. I’m dying here.”
Her chuckles lightened the mood. He took her hand and kissed her knuckles. “I didn’t push you away. I was trying to do the right thing.”
“Connor has seen me naked,” she said.
“Lucky bastard. He gets all the fun. I think it has something to do with that brooding thing he’s got going for him.”
She lifted the shirt up and over her head. “I think it is only fair you get to see me and make up your own mind.”
Brent stared at the perfection of her body. He’d had many sizes and shapes of women, and none of them held a candle to Zoe. She was all woman. Every part of her was full and soft. His cock pulsed at the sight of her.
His mouth watered for a taste of her.
“What else did Connor do?” he asked.
He would come if she said anything about fucking. Brent had no control left.
“He touched my breasts.”
“Like this?” he asked, reaching out and cupping the mounds. They were heavy and ripe. Brent loved the feel of them in his hands.
“Yes,” she said with a gasp to her voice.
“Do you like me touching you?”
“Yes.” Brent felt her tits and watched her nipples harden. “He licked my nipples as well.”
Pre-cum leaked out of the tip of his cock.
“Is that all he did?” Jake asked, startling them. Zoe spun around, and Brent pressed her against his front.
“Connor has touched her breasts, Jake,” he said, holding her tits in his hands.
“I see you have as well.”
“They’re perfect, Jake. Come and feel.”
Jake walked over and took what Brent offered.
Zoe was shaking between them. Brent leaned down and whispered in her ear. “If you want us to stop, say so.”
“No, I’m fine.”
“What else did Connor get to do?” Jake asked.

1) Tell is about yourself.

Today I’m a wife and mother in a blended family like The Brady Bunch—only no Alice! I’m the one who has to do all the housework. My two children are adults now so we can enjoy spending the day shopping or having dinner together. My two step-sons are teenagers who still live at home.

I’m also a full time elementary school teacher who has about twenty years of teaching experience. Teaching every grade from preschool through sixth grade has given me a lot of insight into children and parents. I truly adore working with the children but the education field has changed so much in the last few years, that it is more about test scores than positive relationships.

I have two furbabies- Calleigh and Grissom who I dote on. They are my snuggle bunnies at night and really make me laugh.

But most of all, I’m a reader who loves a good story with characters that I can relate to!

2) What genre do you write and why?

I write contemporary romances with a little sizzle. I love to write stories about people that I’d love to meet, grab a drink with or hang out with. My characters are real people who must find love in today’s society.

3) What made you become a writer?
I’ve always wanted to become a writer. In fact, I’ve always written. When I was younger, I wrote the sappy love poems or scary murder stories while trying not to be bored in school. When I was working as an editor and book reviewer, I thought to give it a try. I’d already been writing poems and blogs. But I wanted to pen a story about people like me who had faced some issues but still found love. Luckily some publishing houses gave me a try and I’m still loving the ride today!

4) Tell us about your recent book or series.

The Wilder Sisters is a series of books about five sisters who were born and raised in a small Ohio town on the coastline of Lake Erie. They all left town shortly after their graduations and really hadn’t been back except for their mom’s funeral. Now that their dad is facing Alzheimer’s, the girls are slowing coming back to town and finding out that their dreams may be closer than they think. Currently Beach Desires is out with Secret Cravings Publishing. A Christmas Accident was released December 15th and the book “Forever Love” that starts the series will be available through Secret Cravings in January. I’m working on the last two books in the series.

5) What have you found to be the most challenging?

I love the authors. They are so helpful and supportive. I also really enjoy the edits. (I know people think I’m crazy for liking them). However, I think that the most challenging part of being an author is getting your book recognized. There are so many wonderful authors who have fabulous books but among those millions it is challenging to showcase your own books. It takes time and determination. I’m lucky that my stories are beginning to gain a following and that people enjoy my writing style.
A Few fun questions.

Does size matter?

It must in some things or else why super-size!

Christian Grey or Gideon Cross?

Can I go for Roarke in the Eve Dallas series instead? He’s got money, darling good looks and the accent to die for!

Flowers or Chocolate?

Why not both? Or maybe some jewelry!

E-book or paperback?

I love both! It depends on if they are a part of my “keeper” shelf or not.

When a holiday storm causes an automobile accident that puts the lives of those she loves on the line, can a Christmas miracle save them?

Looking over at Adam, I’m amazed that such a handsome man could love me. Stubble showed on Adam’s rugged face. I liked the way the short growth of beard rubbed on my face when he nibbled on my ears. Adam’s dark brown hair was cut short, emphasizing his deep blue eyes and strong nose. The small dimple on his chin made him seem more approachable and much less serious. His tall stature and muscular body always made me feel precious yet delicate, like a porcelain doll, but Adam never treated me like anything other than a desirable woman.
“How are the roads? Do you think we can stop so I can use the bathroom? Your son is pushing on my bladder.” Wiggling in my seat, I tried to alleviate the uneasy pressure.
Adam looked over at me with a dreamy expression on his face. His gaze settled on my stomach as it undulated. “Sure, I could use some coffee. How are you feeling? Little Pea looks active tonight.”
“I’m okay except for the kicks to the bladder. I swear he’s practicing his temper tantrums so he has them right when he comes out. Oh Ricky, we are in so much trouble,” I replied with a silly high pitched whiney Lucille Ball-type voice, then smiled.
I am thankfully in the third trimester of my pregnancy. I’d passed the dangerous stage where many women miscarry as well as the dreaded morning sickness phase that sucks the very life out of a body. Now I had abundant energy and looked forward to finally getting ready to meet our son. We still had two more months to go but I already felt like a beached whale, not to mention the walking with a waddle. Adam loved talking to my stomach, he’d even been reading storybooks to our peanut each night.
Adam and I had eloped to Hawaii five years ago during our Christmas vacation. We’d kept our wedding private, only us. Today we are closer than most married couples, enjoying the same things, especially our cottage home on the Huron River, old movies, television shows, and snuggling up with a blanket on those cold Michigan nights.
While we both loved our families, neither one of us enjoyed traveling which became the basis for the fight. I’d won the the argument after the announcement of my father’s recent diagnosis. I’d spent hours on the phone with my sister, then on the internet gathering information on Alzheimer’s. The dementia had already begun to kick in when Dad accidentally set fire to his home. Luckily, Syndie had already moved in with Dad and got him out of the house in time. My need for family had only become stronger since I’d learned about my pregnancy and the arrival of the first grandson.. I didn’t want my baby to miss out on his remaining grandparent.
Fear about my father never getting to meet or know my little peanut became a constant in my mind. Adam and I had distanced ourselves from our families over the years. We were always so happy spending time with just each other, we’d just never considered what those choices did to others. Having a baby changes things. My sister’s wedding invitation plus my dad’s diagnosis, well, both convinced me that we needed to get back to Ohio. Christmas seemed like a perfect excuse.
After pulling into the gas station, Adam stopped the car next to the pump. I grabbed my purse. “I’m going to use the bathroom, grab your coffee, then get a snack while you fill up. Is there anything else you want?” I walked over to Adam’s door as he let himself out.
Adam bent down to kiss my belly, making my muscles clench. How does such a beefy man do that yet still look so masculine?
“Why don’t you also grab me some pretzels. I don’t know if the coffee will be good on my empty stomach. But with the way the snow has been falling, I want to make sure we can take the turnpike rather than Route 2.”
Route 2 is known as Death’s Highway. The area of Route 2 between Bono and Sandusky claimed dozens of lives due to the large semi-trucks in addition to the awkward two lane road. People couldn’t see what was coming around the next bend so head-on collisions were frequent. The horrible blizzard-like conditions from Lake Erie only made the road more treacherous.
After grabbing the coffee, pretzels and some crackers for myself, then paying for them, I headed back to the car. The snow made the car hard to see from the door of the gas station. Driving in this mess wasn’t a comforting thought.
“Adam, the weather looks really bad. Maybe we should turn on a local radio station to check on the road conditions.”
Making slow progress, we listened to the bleak weather bulletin. Little did we know one single radio announcement would change our lives forever.
“A crash has closed down part of the Ohio Turnpike just past the Route 53 exit. It’s recommended travelers take an alternate route.”
Adam’s voice sounded bleak as he responded to the news. “I guess we have to take Route 2, probably adding some time to our drive. Maybe you had better call Syn and tell her we’re still on our way but running late. We don’t want them to worry.” As he shifted the car into four-wheel drive, I pulled out my cell phone and made the call.
