Book Review: Cowboy Outcasts by Stacey Espino

I love Stacey Espino’s work and I have to say Cowboy Outcasts is one of her best.

Here is the Blurb:

Callum O’Shea has segregated himself from a world that rejected him since childhood. His older brother, Arden, protected him from life…but even he can only take so much of the isolation.

When a young university student offers to help with Callum’s hog problem in exchange for room and board, he’s not in a financial position to refuse. He’s surprised when she doesn’t judge him for his Tourette’s Syndrome. But he’s learned that good things rarely last.

Hailey Watson tried to prove her parents wrong by being the best scientist she could be. When her research funding is cut off, her world spirals out of control. With the help of Callum and Arden, the reclusive Irish cowboys, she learns there is more to life than success at her job. But are the two hardcore cowboys capable of real love?

Review:

I have never read a book which deals with Tourette’s Syndrome and the moment I read the blurb I knew I had to read this to see. I fell in love with Callum O’Shea the moment I read him on the page. He has been dealing with Tourette’s all of his life and the town where he lives treats him as some kind of retard and even call him that name. I found the moments when he was in town to be so emotional. I felt so annoyed at the stubbornness of the people to treat someone the way they treated Callum. I felt so connected to him as a character and I applaud Stacey Espino for her wonderful writing in making it happen.

Hailey made everything better. She understood what was happening with Callum but she never even mentioned it to him. She looked beyond the Tourette’s and saw the man inside. Then, and give me a second to fan myself, Arden came into play. I would love to be able to see this man. The way he is described makes your heart beat faster. He’s protective of his brother but trying to find his way and lose himself at the same time.

The chemistry between all three was amazing and I couldn’t wait for them to be together. The attraction is explained well and who is going to refuse two sexy men who want to be with you? There were parts of this book I wanted to slap the town folk and push Haily, Callum and Arden together.

I really can’t express enough how much I love this book. I put it down yesterday and I want to pick it up again and read it. In fact I hope the author writes a sequel for them. I want to know what happens next and in most books I’m happy with how it ends, with Cowboy Outcasts I want to know MORE.

I highly recommend this read and I will be reading it again soon.
